Return to Pepperland

HaileyMcComet:
I'd have to look it up. Some songs are hard to memorize.
-
Hendrix Ibsen:
It's been so long that I think it's time for a Cold Cuts box set.
Hope there's some DVD's in that boxed set! It may have to be renamed though.... I don't think Paul is into anything meat related anymore
-
Meat! Yeah right, he's a vegetarian. By the way... strange that he has never done anything with Morrissey. Another famous popstar vegetarian. I think he's a great lyricist and I enjoy his records, but it could have been exciting with a collaboration between them, musically. Morrissey is perhaps a bit like Lennon (Costello?) lyrically, he speak from the gut, has it not been good chemistry before? For McCartney...

Hendrix Ibsen:
Well, there is the hidden bonus track "I've Only Got Two Hands" on Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. Very cool instrumental actually.
There is a hidden track on C&C???

Thanks! But is it really hidden somwhere on C&C? Or only on some special edition? Because I never noticed it on the cd I have...

I have both standard and Special Edition of Chaos and Creation and there is an extra untitled instrumental coming after "Anyway" on both of my copies, "I've Only Got Two Hands" from what I've read. I think it's a great track, very nice musically.

Just checked it, it's on mine as well. Must have forgotten it...

SusyLuvsPaul:
The smooth, lovely song "Lindiana" is a highlight on "Pepperland" although its melody and tune are not all that distinctive, which is rare in Macca's songwriting. It's a sweet romantic croon light and easy on the ears... its smooth aural quality reminds me of his "My Little Koala" which I also enjoy and find dreamy
____________________________________________________________ I've never heard the whole bootleg of Pepperland but I put Lindiana on my Tablet. I downloaded it from an app...MP Player Pro. Besides all the singles and album tracks, MP Player Pro also includes a good number of rare tracks including Lindiana. I personally love Lindiana. I love the melody and Paul's vocals. It certainly in my opinion deserves to be released on a future Macca CD especially if it was a compilation/rarities CD. Unlike some of Paul's unreleased tracks, this one is totally finished like a B-Side. You wouldn't have to change a thing as far as I am concerned. I think the only thing holding it back is the title. I realize that Lindiana could be a girl's name but I have never heard of anyone going by that name. I think I read where Paul called Lindi or something like that. Was Linda's middle name Anna? Anyway, the title sounds too much like the US State (Indiana) so I think it is confusing. Still a great unreleased song in my estimation. I would put Lindiana in a top 10 of Paul's greatest unreleased songs.

I like Squid. When was the last time he put an instrumental song on an album? 1983?
I like Squid too.
That opening riff sounds mighty similar to the ending riff of "Here Comes The Sun."

Linda's middle name was Louise. Mary's middle name is Anna.

_________________________________________________________ Thanks Nancy. As usual, you know all things Macca. I thought I had read that Paul sometimes called Linda "Lindi" as a nickname. With Mary's middle name being Anna, maybe that is where Paul came up with the title Lindianna which certainly goes with the song's melody. Another hidden gem of Paul's that no one knows except for us hard core Macca junkies.

He called her Lin. Lindy was a teenager that was a friend of John's back in the Cavern days. He called her his "jailbait!" She was like 14 or 15 when he was 20 or 21.

If followed by a vowel. Brits.
