Interesting. If any truth to two dates, that leads me to believe it's likely to be at the Wells Fargo Center. I can't see back to back nights at either the stadium or ballpark. But who knows.
-
Personally. Think odds are strongly against 2 dates
-
Is playing NY in May..$3000 per for cheap seats

Gina would be smart for grabbing immediately because those who wait for something better or closer could be lost!

Status Quo's last album outsold NEW?????
'Driving Rain' hit the 60,000 Silver certification target in the UK after 2 months and that's it, 'Chaos And Creation' had Gold (100,000 copies) in the second week and stayed there. 'Memory Almost Full' only hit the 100,000 target after 6 full years, 'New' is not even a blip on the screen. The last Status Quo last year, though re-recordings of popular songs: Gold in a few weeks. But I agree acts like that as tribute to the veterans isn't really cutting it. But I'm glad McCartney gives it a pass, it would mean another 3 years of neglecting Europe after yet another 'Live And Let Die'/'Drive My Car'/'Get Back' mega UK television broadcast.

According to Hollywood.com, McCartney along with Elton John, Rod Stewart and Vera Lynn are to headline to headline a special concert celebrating the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day. They are apparently set to perform at the 1940s-themed gig, which commemorates the end of the Second World War in 1945 to be held at Horse Guards Parade in London on 9th May 2015. There is a gap in his May touring schedule, so this gig can easily be accommodated. Source: http://www.hollywood.com/news/brief/60009410/elton-john-paul-mccartney-and-rod-steward-to-headline-ve-day-concert
Apparently Paul, Rod Stewart and Elton John are out of the running for this as (the mighty) Status Quo and Katherine Jenkins have been announced as headliners for the VE Day show at Horseguards Parade on 9th May: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3040925/Status-Quo-Katherine-Jenkins-headline-VE-Day-concert-Event-series-commemorations-mark-70th-anniversary.html Good news for fans of The Quo like me, but unfortunately it looks very much like Paul's UK shows this year will only be his May shows in London, Birmingham and Liverpool. Who knows, though, he might surprise us with some special pre-Christmas shows like he did back in 2011.
These sort of shows make my teeth itch, please honour the dead and the sacrifice they made and celebrate the anniversary of the end of the war by all means but not with fading pop stars.
Status Quo are hardly "fading popstars". Their last album sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone, in the nine weeks after it's release and is still selling. The band consistently tour the UK and Europe selling out many of the venues they play.
This album was thier biggest selling album for 18 years so yea they had become an irrelevance which was a shame as they'd produced some darn fine music through the '70's,they suffered producing dross through the '80's in my view as did many of the older generation through that decade had. They did have a good run of TV shows to help them promote the album (as did Rod the year before if i recall rightly) so that had to have helped, plus there was the "break"from mainstream TV must have helped them, plus they packaged up old songs as new and it worked credit to Paul and NEW (not an album i rate by the way)at least his was a complete new body of work the fact that it sold badly here in the uk is something he will just have to live i suppose.
