Well Paul's getting back Out There with The RobinHood Foundation.. The same Foundation that gave us 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy Benefit.. (Man That Was A Great Gig) A top 10 NEW YORK, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul McCartney and The Robin Hood Foundation today announced that McCartney and his band will be performing at Robin Hood's annual benefit, to be held May 12 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Robin Hood is New York's largest poverty-fighting organization and every dollar raised at the benefit will go to support the most effective poverty-fighting programs throughout the five boroughs. Paul McCartney is no stranger to Robin Hood. Immediately following the 9/11, he generously donated his legendary talents to the Concert for New York City, which raised more than $36 million to provide direct financial assistance to the families of victims who lost their lives in the terror attacks in New York, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania. In addition, the money raised provided emergency assistance and support, as well as long-term mental health care and other health services to First Responders, their families and low-income New Yorkers who lost their jobs as a result of the attend http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/paul-mccartney-to-perform-at-robin-hood-benefit-on-may-12-2015-300053173.html

I'm assuming there will be other performers too? And I'm hoping it'll be televised (or at least portions of it to be aired at a later date, like Firefly. -Rubber Soul13

It said he was knighted in 1996, but it was 1997 right?

The info they sent me listed special guests during dinner/cocktails followed by a concert by Paul. Will anyone join him onstage? Unknown. Hosted by Katie Couric No black tie. No mention of it being televised.

I doubt it will be televised. This is Robin Hood's annual fundraiser; they have them every year and I've never seen one broadcast anywhere. I think last year's musical performer was Bruno Mars. http://www.cnbc.com/id/101669752

I'll have to dig around a bit to find the source, but I read that 15 hours of the performances were going to be televised on AXS. -Rubber Soul13

The foundation office told me there are two tiers of individual tickets at $3,000 and $5,000 and they are very limited. Tables of ten are in four different levels. $30,000, $50,000, $100,000 and $250,000. You have to contact their office to book a ticket. Price, minus $250, is tax deductible.

don't know if $3000 is worth what will probably be a shortened set and no soundcheck. I'm passing on this one
