Damn! Look at that mega gap as well!
I wish that platform stage would go away.
It will be pretty strange to suddenly be so far away from the stage when I'm finally seeing this tour next month. And it looks particularly bad in the venue tonight:

That does look terrible...but it is true. Make sure you have a good camera with a zoom!

It won't be that bad in the arenas over here, hahaha. Especially with general admission. Just those extra x meters, while you normally almost are on stage in those venues. Anyway, gig should be about over by now. 'Hey Jude' from half an hour ago: https://instagram.com/p/10RyrPSj4O/

I don't know why it is so noticeably bad in Japan shows. Having platform makes it far enough already, but they even pushed centre block front rows back for a good measure as well. Same with '13 dates. I haven't seen it done like that in other Out There stadium shows in different countries. Wonder if it's a thing with Japanese promoters or related to some sort of regulation over there.

Looks like the set list hasn't changed at all for the first Tokyo Dome show as Setlift.fm is showing the same set as the Osaka gig (so far). Up to 'Hey Jude' as I type this: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/paul-mccartney/2015/tokyo-dome-tokyo-japan-3bc8e4b4.html

I wonder if they will all be the same?

I guess the difference between Osaka and night 1 out of 4 in Tokyo doesn't say much yet. If there are no changes in between the first 2 gigs in Tokyo though...

^True. I wish he'd do Appreciate or Alligator.

He should definitely do BOTH!

I find it hard to believe he would do that same show in Japan. Still, the changes he makes will be predictable ones.

Are the shows sold out?

Paul will be on TV ASAHI at 8 AM (local time) on the Morning Bird show: https://instagram.com/p/10LtFPTcBN/

JetThanks, Carlos...really like the "slowed up" version of Jet that he's been doing.

"Mr. Kite" live in Tokyo, April 23:

Pains me to say it but... His voice does not sound good. The upper range is now nearly gone... Really starting to worry about his voice
-
What do you guys/gals suppose the set will be tonight? I would venture to say "Eight Days a Week" will make come back But if he does change the opener what could we expect? "Drive My Car"? "Venus and Mars"? I would like to see "Junior's Farm" put in the place for Jet/LWTMS one night, since it's never been performed in Japan (excluding soundcheck)
-
I have just been told that the interview Paul gave to Asahi TV (broadcast on April 24 at 8 AM, local time) was basically plugging the Budokan concert, but included footage from the April 23 concert.

The few clips I have watched his voice does not sound strong and there is no energy, band seems bored. Maybe the crowd is not giving them good vibes - lol

There is no energy at all and there hasn't for some time Maybe he does need a new set I've been keeping up with Billy Joel lately more than ever and honestly those shows have energy plus the set is realiviely new every night. Plus Billy isn't afraid of trying rarities like "Running On Ice", "Surprises", "Scandiavian Skies", "Until the Night", etc.. However Paul wants to play such a cookie cutter set. There's actually not really any song in the set where the band could actually losen up.. I can think of plenty of solo songs that fit the criteria. I mean come on you know it's bad when you're playing "All Together Now". Throw in "The World Tonight", "Get Out of My Way", "My Brave Face", "Old Siam, Sir", "Ballroom Dancing", "Getting Closer", "Take It Away", etc - a song with energy! All of those would fit the live setting perfectly
