-
Hi everybody! I was just wanting to see if any one had pictures from the Los Angeles sound check. I got sing on stage with Paul along side 3 other ladies. Just hoping to check out some more pics! Thanks, Jenna.

The guitar picks can't cost that much. There were maybe 60 of us in Lincoln.
I think what we paid was sufficient to cover 1 guitar pick/person
I think it was enough to cover an autographed copy of NEW.
But not enough to cover an autograph on an original "Band on the Run" vinyl

How about a drive by on a golf cart with Paul giving us soundcheckers a high 5?

And Shelley is more than just a cheerleader; she is the boss of SLOTix. But she does her cheerleading thing because not everybody at soundcheck does yell and scream and dance. I have seen people just stand there and watch. Paul apparently really does like to see the group having fun and enjoying themselves,
Yes, well aware that SLOTix is Shelly's company. . .and she does a great job

Maybe . . .can he pause just long enough to scribble on my well-loved BOTR tho?

The access to vendors during soundcheck seems to vary by venue. I have been to soundchecks where we had plenty of time to shop and others where the vendors haven't been open, or venues where we were rushed along by local security and not "allowed" to stop and shop on our way to the buffet. I believe that the SLOTix personnel do try to get us access to a vendor that we can shop with. And Shelley is more than just a cheerleader; she is the boss of SLOTix. But she does her cheerleading thing because not everybody at soundcheck does yell and scream and dance. I have seen people just stand there and watch. Paul apparently really does like to see the group having fun and enjoying themselves, so if people are just standing still or only taking photos, to him it looks like everybody is bored. As for the randomness of the guitar picks, I have no clue about that.
Maybe if Mr. McCartney allowed people to get closer than 40 rows back they might not look as bored, just a thought - lol.

Believe me, even at 40 rows back, soundcheckers I've been with were never bored!!

Since the marketing thing was "last pick at the stick" I think we should have gotten picks

That's too logical.

I could handle that!

Sound check coming up tomorrow for me. Do people hold up signs the whole time, or just at the beginning or end?
-
Try to request "Why don't we do it in the road" to Paul! Is a simple song e maybe he will play it also without rehearsals

No not the whole time. usually in between songs.
-
Good. I have a sign but don't want to be the jerk holding it up at the wrong time. It is a little big, but its just for the sound check, not the actual show.

What does it say the sign?

It worked! Paul called me on stage during the sound check!!!!!!! It said I play a Hofner too! Can I get a pick from you? If anyone here was at the show and got a picture when I was on stage, I'd be extremely grateful if you'd share!

WOW congratulations! Just curious: are you a man or a woman? I'm asking because I always bring signs to soundchecks but he only calls pretty girls onstage
