Amsterdam - Ziggo Dome - June 7 & 8, 2015 - ARCHIVE

I sent an e-mail to CS this mornig. No reply yet. Why do I have to be worried until the very last days whether I would recieve my ticket or not? This whole process is pathetic. Deffinitely the first and the last time I have anything to do with them.
-
Ordered 2 times from them before and things went well, although also late shipment. (McCartney in Rotterdam and in Antwerp). I guess that if the concert is seats only, there is no other choice than CS if you want to have good seats. I am confident the tickets will arrive in time, but I agree that waiting for months is ridiculous. In Antwerp I could collect the tickets at the venue, a few hours before the concert....
-
eventhough I am quite nervous, I am also sure the ticket will finaly arrive all right. And if I had a seat, I also wouldn't mind collect it at the venue. Also if such ticket gets lost, there is usually no problem to issue a new one, it is easy to prove who payed for which seat. But with a standing ticket this might be a problem (but maybe they are able to disable the bar code and issue a ticket with a new one) and also , as I wrote before, I want to get in the line early to have a good spot in front of the stage, instead of waiting for the box office to open. The time of arrival at the venue makes a big difference with a standing ticket, unlike with a seat.

What is the difference between seats and standing for this process? A bar code is bar code. They cancel tickets all the time, and provide new ones. Box office with general admission standing is a no-go indeed, so I understand your worry.

Also someone removed my previous post, where I discussed my phone call. Is this forum censored ?
Hi, No one has removed any of your posts. This thread has not received moderation. Perhaps you are referring to this post (four posts up thread) where you indicated that you intended to make a phone call today: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2860627#2860627

I am also still waiting for the Crowdsurge tickets (4). Getting more and more nervous every day. I sent an email and got the same standard answer. Going to make a phone call on Friday if they have not been shipped. Possibly they want to avoid scalpers by sending out tickets in the last 2 weeks, but it's terrible for fans. I remember it was the same when I ordered Paris tickets some years ago. Next time I will order directly from ticketmaster. The 2nd night is selling poor. That's fine, as there will be mor chance to be closer to the stage .
If not, perhaps you meant to post about your phone call but never did so? If you are certain that you posted a message about today's phone call, I am guessing you forgot to click Submit. Should you have any further questions in regard to moderation, please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the moderating team via private message. Have a fantastic time at the concert! Well, I am not sure how this works, never needed it an hope never will. But I can imagine, that it is easy to connect the barcode with a particular seat, and so to cancel it and issue a new one. Not sure about standing tickets. Maybe they have the bar code "connected" with the person who bought it, which should be possible with the tickets sold online, but I don't know. But it must work somehow, since when the CS sends the tickets 2 weeks before the show, the post doesn't even guarantee the international delivery in that time. So I hope it is not like they send the ticket, then the post gets is delayed and then you are told that it is too bad, but you won't have the ticket. Well, I hope it doesn't work like that, but I am probably just getting paranoid I just wish I had my ticket and wasn't forced to spend my time on this. PS: just got a reply from CS, that the tickets will be sent shortly. At least something

The procedure is exactly the same. When one standing ticket with one bar code is cancelled, only that ticket will be blocked, and only one person won't enter the venue. Same with a seat. Over here whole batches of tickets, of for example festivals, get cancelled all the time, when they find out it belongs to a ticket tout/scalper, for example. Every bar code is unique. For the rest, I can completely understand your worry.

Yea, it sounds logical and I am glad to read that. It is just that it is easy to associate a bar code with a seat, but to do it with standing ticket, you have to know who bought it - which bar code to cancel, which is possible with online sales, but not for instance if you buy the ticket in some shop where they print it for you anonymously. Then if you loose the ticket, it would be impossible to track down the particular bar code. I remember that a couple of years back I read in the german eventim rules, that if you loose a seating ticket, tehy were able to issue a new one, but they were not able to do that with GA tickets. But that was some years back, now when they collect all possible data, it probably works better.

I never heard of anonymous tickets in the last 10 odd years, and in The Netherlands every ticket for every single event I went to got scanned since at least the mid-00's. It's all e-tickets nowadays as well anyway. The days of ticket stubs are loooong gone. Crowdsurge (UK) is making this sooooo difficult.
-
In our country (Czech Republic) it is possible to buy tickets in a shop. You can make a reservation on the internet and then go to the shop to pay and have the ticket printed or you can do it without reservation. Then it is anonymous. Of course the ticket has a regular bar code and everything, but if you lose it, there is no way the ticket can be identified. Of course, buying tickets for events abroad, I have to do it online, or for events in our country where the tickets sell our really fast it is safer to sit in front of the computer the minute the sale starts

The irony. Just arrived in the mail: tickets to McCartney at Ziggo Dome. The cheap ones for the second night - for someone else - ordered yesterday. The ones bought on day 1 through Crowdsurge? Still not in sight.

Same here, no sign from Crowdsurge...

Have you logged into your Crowdsurge account to see if they've shipped them? I'm asking because my tickets to Oslo on July 7th were despatched two days ago but I didn't get an e-mail about it.

Hey guys, I am in my twenties and new here and I've been a Beatles fan for more than 10 years. I'm going to the Ziggo Dome concert in June. I reached out to Crowdsurge on Twitter and they said they are going to ship the tickets early next week. Here's a link to the tweet:

Yes, I am logging in regulary and nothing has been sent. So obviously tickets for a gig that takes place one month later have been sent, but tickets for Amsterdam, which is in 14 days are for some reason not important enough. This is highly irresponsible and well, I am just repeating myself...:-( This is sooo frustrating and disappointing.

No international post guarantees delivery in 2 weeks. Besides "early next week" might easily be Wednesday. In their own rules they say: Tickets are typically sent out 2 ? 4 weeks prior to the date of the show. However, we do aim to ship tickets sooner whenever possible. They write the same when they answer a request when I ask about the late delivery. It is now certain that the tickets will be sent later than 2 weeks before the show. I have never heard any reason for that. Plus they write "We do aim to ship tickets sooner whenever possible." Ticketmaster is sending all those tickets within days, sometimes within hours from the purchase. So I can't see any reason why would it be impossible for the CrowdSurge. If they at least tried to give some explanation. I have never been that angry with any ticket seller.
-
I knew mailing tickets to other countries would not be a good idea, so I asked Crowdsurge to let me collect mine at the box office of each venue on the day of each concert and they were fine with it. I suggest you folks do the same next time, in order to avoid being worried until the last minute.
-
Well, that is obvoulsly some kind of solution. but not really a good one for me. I wrote it here before - I have a standing ticket and to collect it from the box office means you have to get it from there before you get in the line. I have no idea how is it in Amsterdam, but some box offices open 1 hour before the show, which means you are doomed to stand far away and watch the screens. That is not why I am flying to Amsterdam. When I bought the ticket, I checked I want it to be sent. And my little simple brain tells me that it should be the sellers responsibility to send it soon enought so that you can get it. Anyway, we all bought (and paid for!) our tickets almost three months ago and we should have them in our hands and we should be looking forward to the show and not spending time on such unpleasant things.
