First Solo Album That I Heard By Paul
-
I think my first album I had ever gotten by Paul was Paul McCartney All the Best that were his songs from Wings. And I don't know why but C Moon is still one of my favorites. It sounds like such a cute song maybe that's why I like it so much. There are a bunch of other songs I love that Paul wrote when he was with Wings. I also like the song "The Back Seat of My Car." too that one sounds romantic. Paul's got that romantic side of him.

For me it was Give My Regards to Broad Street. My sister and I got it together because she liked Ringo.
-
I've been around since the beginning, so for me it was McCartney.
-
I was 8 when Give my regards to Broad Street was released and hearing No more lonely nights in the radio I asked my parents to buy the album, and they did. It was the first album "I bought", although they had bought me Double fantasy by John Lennon when I was 4 and I always was asking to play it, specially the song (Just like) Starting over (which I'm convinced is written by John, at least in part, for Paul). My parents were surprised of how a 4-year-old could like so much that music. When I heard No more lonely nights I liked it but I didn't know who was singing. My mother told me he was one of the Beatles. I was used to hearing some Beatles at home and they already had the album McCartney, and I am sure I had already heard it. In fact I can remember my father was very fond of the song Teddy boy, but I don't remember it so well.

Me, too. I borrowed a cassette tape (in 1991, I think) from my neighbor/friend. All The Best has US and UK version. I think the one I borrowed was the US version because it includes "With A Little Luck." The first album of his that I bought was Flaming Pie.
-
The first album I got by myself was Wings over America; and since then every new album.

By Paul? That would be McCartney

Me too. There was nothing like hearing the needle start playing the piano intro to 'Maybe I'm Amazed', scratches & all. 1 of the few songs where after you hear it for the 1st time, you knew it was a classic.

Flowers In The Dirt on cassette. Back in 1990. Being a new Beatles fan (10 years old back then), I used to look at the cover finding it very weird that it was a cassette by just Paul McCartney and not by The Beatles. Those kind of things that come across a little boy's mind.

Tug of War - my parents were playing it quite often- just one side of the tape was Paul, 30 mins, so not even the whole album...

"All The Best", then I worked backwards.
-
"McCartney," which I ran out and bought the instant it was released. I liked it rather than loved it (I really wanted a whole album of songs like "Let It Be"), but instantly loved "Maybe I'm Amazed."
