"Out There" Live Concert DVD?
-
Interest in a suggested Bonnaroo DVD couldn't have been more tepid; therefore, a DVD called Back In The South U.S.A. (which, in itself, is a stretch) stands even less of a chance. Speaking for myself: It took this tour two years to make enough noise to finally make me anxious for a DVD. Contrary to the masses around here, the Tokyo 2013 show -- while I appreciate its generous online availability -- lacks too much in content and excitement, compared to the previous DVDs. But I'd buy a retrospective compilation DVD.

Sounds like we need a 2 DVD set - one for the entire concert performance, and a second one for all the unique highlights.

Most official releases though have too many people giving affidavits about Paul being so good, rich, famous, cute, ageless, blah blah blah. As if we need to be reminded. Just show me the concert performance!
...And how can we forget the endless cut away shots to the audience. Camera men refuse to keep the camera on Paul for a few minutes let alone an entire song. Due to this, I didn't buy the Space between or Red Square Videos. I'd rather listen to the audio recordings or boots to avoid those annoying cut aways. Yes, we get it, he has fans...I don't pay money just to mostly look at them for two hours...

I believe the soundchecks are recorded/video'd too, but hopefully somebody can confirm.

MetalGod:
If you LOOK a little deeper in rabbit hole of the internet you can find great quality pro shots of Paul in Japan in 2013 and at the Budokan in 2015.
And if you put your hands on those two blu rays you wouldn't need any other dvd release!

I agree. Budokan is The One!

As I noted on the first page, Sao Paulo 2014 was also professionally filmed, and can be found on Youtube.

Every year at Christmas time I am hoping there will finally be a new live concert DVD for sale. The last one is from 10 years ago from the Red Square concert, which is a great live concert DVD! I have particularly been wanting a concert DVD since Paul added 1985 to the setlist. Please Paul - issue an "Out There" live concert DVD! Kisses from Laurel!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mr. McCartney has enough live CD recordings IMO. The public does not need every tour to have a live CD. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other artist who has as many as Mr. McCartney.

Ringo Starr? Seriously, there aren't that many live albums from Sir Paul: Wings over America Tripping the live fantastic Unplugged Paul is live Back in the US/world Good evening NYC That's six live albums over the course of 40 years - surely there's lots of artists who top that easily.

That's still 4 too many.

KISS has seven official live recordings. Cheap Trick has five, including Sgt. Pepper's live. Paul is in good company!

How about stuff from 2004 like You Won't See Me and She's A Woman?

I could go for that.

Budokan is nice but it is a shortened show. A better choice would be the Tokyo show from 2013 which had more new songs on it
-
But the audience is too low-key.

But the audience is too low-key.
I was there (all of 'em) and low key they were not! And I've been to tishloads of US and UK shows. Moreover they were respectful (ie) no continuous beer lines or having to shuffle so some fat bastard can trudge past you or through you with hot dogs, peanuts or other such trays of crap. The audiences truly appreciated the music. I've been to shows in the US where bozos continually talk over songs. Tokyo 13 is my go to broadcast McCartney concert.
