Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band 2015 Tour

Great show of course! A great early start to the weekend and a fun night of music. Great crowd up on their feet. Barbara was walking around before and during the show as well.

Sadly no. Not in SF this time buddy. I have a good mate lives there. He texted me.

It was indeed a great, fun show -- though I'd have been happy with more Ringo and less All-Starrs (though their bits were fine). Maybe I missed this in discussions of his set list earlier this year, but I was totally surprised to hear him do "I'm the Greatest" and "Don't Pass Me By" -- great, great stuff. As with Paul, I wish he'd do more of his later material (personally, I'd vote for "Rory and the Hurricanes," "Missouri Loves Company" and "Don't Go Where the Road Don't Go"), but he knows the crowd wants the hits.

"Don't Pass Me By" has been in the set with this band for most of their shows, I believe. Love how he starts out on the piano for that one! "I'm the Greatest" appears during some tours and disappears during others. I don't believe he's done it previously with this band; at least I don't remember seeing it at any of the shows I've been to.

"Don't Go" resurfaced recently, I can't remember for which band/tour, but I do remember hearing it .

Is there a 2015 tour book being sold at Ringo's current concerts?

I remember hearing Ringo do "Don't Pass Me By" at the Greek in L.A. last year.

Don't Pass Me By was first played with the 2003 lineup. It was brought back in 2012 (when this lineup formed) and has been in since. I'm The Greatest was the opener in '92 and played a lot from like 97-03-ish. It came back in '12 with this band, but disappeared until now. Don't Go...hasn't been played since 2003, I think. I know it hasn't been played more recently than that. My thoughts on the set: SO great to hear "You're Sixteen" is back. I've never had the chance to hear it and really hope it sticks around. I'd like to know why it was brought back because he has talked many times about how he clearly DOES NOT do it anymore. I hope it wasn't just a one time thing. "Island in the Sun"....I was hoping we'd get away with no songs from the new album, but I should know better. I really wish he'd ditch it and "Anthem" for perhaps "The No-No Song" and "Snookeroo"? THAT would be cool!!

I was just talking all-starrs....I wish I'd been aware at the time of the '98 tour...alas, I was three years old.

There's new tracks I'd like to hear...I can't say any of them come from this most recent album though. Looking at his recent works, I'd like to hear: -Wonderful (Ringo 2012) -Time (Y Not) -Everyone Wins (Y Not) -Can't Do it Wrong (Y Not) -Think About You (Liverpool 8 ) -Now That She's Gone Away (Liverpool 8 ) -If It's Love That You Want (Liverpool 8 ) -What Love Wants To Be (Ringo Rama) However, I think it's safe to say Ringo will never add anything to his set from the 1980's onward that isn't on the most recent album he's promoting.
-
I love "Don't Hang Up." Great track!

I think you're probably right on that. I was really, really hoping he'd do Rory and the Hurricanes and Bamboula.

His choice for this album was unexpected, in my opinion. I thought "Rory and The Hurricanes" would be the one he'd pick for the tour.

Rory is the obvious standout. Beats me why he wouldn't rock that out. Yet he persists with "Anthem". Jeepers.

I would love to know which merchandise items are available at Ringo's concerts, especially whether there is a 2015 tour book available. Who's going go/has been to his current tour?
-
I will be seeing Ringo in Milwaukee. Most likely will not visit merchandise stand.

I can only assume he really likes Anthem. It's not a favorite of mine.

I think I saw a tour book available at the merch booth last week. There were a number of shirts available as well and a tour poster.
