Awful. Terrible. On his night he can still nail them, but this sounds abysmal.
Referring to the short Looking For Changes clip...
He could have done Wildlife but I doubt he could handle that one.
You're right, but from that short clip, and his vocals, maybe he should have steered away from Looking For Changes, too.

Totally agree. Hopefully it sounded better in person.

Jorie Gracen posted on FB that she got right up at the stage (leaning on it) and that his bass was very prominent.

can confirm. some of the mix up front was not perfect and I didn;t notice any issues with Looking for Changes but will check out the clip later and see what it sounds like. it was fun to hear that song again, tho!!

I was JUST listening to "Looking For Changes" this morning and thought it would be a great choice for this band...I'm a little weirded out!

Thanks for posting this! Bass is prominent, I believe Paul's bass amp is RIGHT THERE, which is cool! Hot blonde!

That's from the periscope posta! Great!

So he doesn't play Temp Sec at festivals for the hipsters...but plays it at a black tie big money event. Riiiiiiiiiiight...

Yeah blonde 10/10. But Looking For Changes, boy...probably the worst singing I've heard from Paul from a stage in a long time. Even the band was messy. 3/10.

Yeah, there might have been some apathy to playing a song by Paul's OTHER ex-band! And one ex-band is enough!!!

That's what confused me, too. He didn't play it at Lolla or Firefly, but he'll play it at the PETA gala? : : : :

I didn't think it was too terrible. I think it sounded like it hadn't been played since 1993! Paul sounded good on the verses, but the chorus vocals were wonky all around. The band sounded fine, instrumentally. It was just a tad sluggish though, needs a little more pop.

Pop was singing the lead vocal!

Well that sounds good.

I enjoyed the two songs with Beck (there's a recording collaboration I'd like to see). I kept waiting for Kanye West to leap up and cut Beck off!
