The rolling stones are holding an exhibition of memorabilia in London soon. Pity the Beatles didn't have the same idea.

^ thought it was "a portion" of the proceeds going to the charity?
I would guess that is after costs are covered. Nobody gives 100% of the proceeds to charity.

Yeah but in that case things are usually refered to as "all profits are going to charity", ie profit meaning after the costs are covered.

There is a huge section of Beatles stuff in the Liverpool Museum, and of course at The Beatles Story!

Thw weird thing when i was last in beatles story (feb this year) was how many people walked past the original stuff they had, such as in the cavern replica set everyone was busy having pics in front of the not genuine guitars at the front of the stage, when just by the exit doors in a glass case was the actual guitar used by George in their last appearance at the Cavern! People walked striaght past that!

The Beatles Story My 2nd visit there in 2012... An American chap walks up to me: "...is this the original Cavern?" Yep...generally speaking, people are dullards.

If Paul, Ringo, Yoko, Olivia, George Martin, Geoff Emerick, whoever's still alive purged their closets, they could probably put together a world class museum.

That's an excellent idea Hailey! There really should be a museum like that!

Does it seem right for anyone to post the street where someone of fame owns a family home and who might appreciate their privacy?

Where did someone do that? Because no where in this thread do I see Ringo's Beverly Hills address. Mainly cuz I know it.

The Beatles White Album - UK mono - #0000001. Now there is a real treasure! It says it was kept in a bank vault for 35 years. So not everything was lost in the L.A. fire. Oh if I had a spare $40.000.00!

I can't imagine having that kind of money but it would be cool to own it, but I guess I would have to hire guards 24/7 to watch over it.

It is up to $120,000.00! http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/163/lot/71120/

Just goes to show that The Beatles popularity is not diminishing now or any time soon!

It also goes to show that that guy has too much money.

Amen to that! They are grossly overpaid and we working ones increasingly pick up more of the tab.
