Based on that new graphic on the main site, I think it's safe to say that Out There is (as they say) outta there!
He should call the next tour "Paul McCartney Goes Too Far", just like that LP he joked about.

Having just finished going through the latest deluxe editions I found under my tree on Christmas Day...I must say that there is SO much from Tug of War he could be doing...it hurts! There is no good reason why Tug of War, TAKE IT AWAY!!!, or Wanderlust could not become mainstays in the set for 2-3 years. Especially, Take it Away. All I could picture when I heard it was this rocking band he's got having a blast with it. So many missed opportunities Paul...but time isn't up yet! The title track, Pipes of Peace, would also be a good addition...but let's be honest...there's really nothing else to offer up from that album. The deluxe edition of that simply reaffirmed for me that the album is done after the first four tracks....

TOW and Pipes zero chance. Take It Away is a possibility. He couldn't manage Wanderlust: croaking through the song.

I'd like much more Wings. Stuff from RRS, London Town, Back To The Egg, ...other Venus and Mars and Speed of Sound stuff. Any of that before anything from TOW onwards... I can see Getting Closer in the 2nd song spot, and why not Beware My Love or Soily in the encores? ...and I still hope they have a crack at Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey. He has mentioned it somewhere. It'd be tough, but I'd love to hear it more out of curiosity than anything else. If they could pull that off and it sounded great - bonus!

Nah, I don't really need to hear much more Wings stuff, though a rarity or two would be nice. What I really long to hear him play is stuff from TOW forward (other than Here Today, which he's been doing for a decade and a half now). Actually, my dream Paul show would have nothing from before TOW. And yeah, I know Hell will freeze first.

You beat me to it Bruce.......although I was going to suggest nothing from before Driving Rain.

Tug of War (the album) is a gem.... would love to see many of those in a live-setting.... Especially Ballroom Dancing or Tug of War (the song)..... but Pipes of Peace (the album) is not done after the first four songs, for me.... have already pointed to a Tug of War-Pipes of Peace medley that could be meaningful..... "Through Our Love", a great song for me. And I also rate another couple of songs on that album.... Yes.... "The Man" is one of them....

His vocals can't cope with most of TOW.

I agree. I'd love to hear those songs, but wish he would have toured in 1982-83 and sang all of Tug Of War. Still, Take It Away could possibly be done, don't you think?

Here I go again, but... ...McCartney's voice hit its peak in the early '80s. It would be a very, very tough task for him to sing "Wanderlust," "No More Lonely Nights" and "Tug Of War." Do I want him to try? Hell yeah! But he'd be safer singing more stuff from Driving Rain onward. He did not sound great in that recent performance of "Looking For Changes."

yeah he could handle that and of all the songs that's the obvious one to do.
-
He can't sing that one either, I'm afraid.

Maybe not. But really, it is not that challenging a song to sing. The song Tug Of War is great but has those soaring high notes in the middle. Take It Away has nothing like that.

Yes, musical tastes aside......"Take it Away" is probably the only one he could really do a stellar job on. "Wanderlust" would be...interesting. But you all are right about the others...and really, that's not news for anyone or even the man himself!

"a stellar job" on Take It Away? That's optimistic! But yeah he could pull it off with vocal help from the boys. Hell - it could never be as bad as Maybe I'm Amazed or Looking For Changes which is the worst I've heard him live...E.V.E.R.

Yes, I do still think stellar is a relevant term for our guy!!!

I believe there was some conversation regarding "Jet" in Paul's setlist. With the exception of a few "smaller gigs" in September 2013, as well as some sound checks, Jet has not been performed since the "On The Run" tour in 2012.

I've really missed it on this tour the past few years. I'd love to see it return for whatever 2016 has to offer!
