Well, this clears up any suspense regarding the upcoming setlist -- from Facebook: ______________________________________________________ "Sky Delzell Is the set list for the One on One tour only Wings songs? Or does it include Beatles and solo songs too? Like ? Reply ? 1 ? 29 mins Paul McCartney Paul McCartney Hi Sky, Paul's concerts feature music from his days in The Beatles and Wings along with songs from his solo career. It's a pretty awesome gig! grin emoticon [MPL] Like ? Reply ? 6 ? 24 mins"

Super clear.
-
Same exact balance as always...the format isn't going away, all we can hope for is new wings songs and new solo songs which will, of course, replace the ones that are already in the show.
-
Would love to hear Magneto and Titanium man. I remember hoping fo r it when some stills from outthere your had the words titanium on it. Would also like Monkberry Moon Delight, Fine Line, and Here comes the Sun as the George Tribute.

Hence...

I can't wait to hear the new setlist, even though it will probably be 6-10 new songs replacing the ones added for the Out There tour. Assuming most of it will be from the 60s & 70s, I suppose a few from this list will be added this time: I Want To Hold Your Hand, Hold Me Tight, Baby's In Black, What You're Doing, I Feel Fine, Ticket To Ride, Wait, Martha My Dear, Rocky Raccoon, Honey Pie, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Uncle Albert, The Back Seat Of My Car, Tomorrow, Big Barn Bed, Helen Wheels, Call Me Back Again, Silly Love Songs, Beware My Love, Daytime Nightime Suffering, Goodnight Tonight, Getting Closer. He might also add a surprise or two from his Beatles/Wings/Solo years and perhaps another song originally sung by John (Hey Bulldog, etc).

Needs to 16-20 new songs.

That would be something!

So what are the chances we'll hear Silly Love Songs and see the Rickenbacker for the first time in 25+ years? Any bets?
-
He can't sing it anymore. At least, nowhere near the original key. And Paul McCartney seldom changes keys.

I've never understood the hang-up there. I hate to question Paul's musicianship like this, but I wonder if some are just too much of a challenge for him to make the change after all these years of playing them in the key he wrote them in? Of course, some would really be a bear to play...for example, say he dropped "1985" from Cm to Bbm...who the heck would want to play that piano riff in Bbm?!? I could be missing some, but to my knowledge, the only songs that are lowered in the current show (end of the Out There tour) were "I've Just Seen a Face" and "Lovely Rita".
-
"Ob-La-Di" and the '05 performances of "Fixing A Hole" are two more that come to mind.

I'll bet: No chance in hell, much as I wish he'd do it.

And that's a lock!
-
Getting Closer is just about the perfect choice for the second song slot.

Plus 'Lovely Rita', 'I Will', 'Ram On', 'I've Just Seen A Face'.

Maybe he should just use a synth/electric piano that can do the transposition for him?
