Paul did Junior's Farm!! The place went wild!! It seemed like it was so electric tonight! Loved hearing Hi, Hi, Hi...He played Queenie Eye and New...was happy to hear them...he made the remark about all the phone lights going out, when he plays newer songs, and he said he didn't care!! HIGH FIVE PAUL!! I just loved the whole show, Paul, the band, it's been a while since I've seen a show...yet there was sooo much energy in this show. I even loved the regular stories stories tonight. I think Paul seemed extra fantastic tonight! He said family was in the audience, and I noticed Stella's husband with a cute little girl...in the audience cam. Was off to the side, so I wasn't able to see the videos... I had such a fantastic time, I'm trying to see if I can catch another show!! I love Paul's shows so much, especially when he's as happy as he was tonight!! Waiting for the cars to leave so that I can then, not wait in line... Overall, the show was super fantastic, and over too quickly!! I'll add more tomorrow. I was so excited about the show, I only was able to sleep 4 hours last night the adrenaline kept me going all day and night, yet have to find a coffee place! Way to go Paul, you are amazing!!

When did he do Junior's Farm?

He didn't play Junior's Farm according to one of my friends who was at the show.

I was outside the stadium and it was before A Hard Day's night. ... It sounded like Junior's Farm to me, I could be wrong, because I wasn't actually in the stadium I was in the security area checking in an item of mine. ops: It was probably wishful thinking or a flashback to the past What song did they open with then? Very strange, I remember thinking of a friend of mine, whose favorite song it was.
-
He did Junior's Farm during the soundcheck, not the main show. Also just want to say that I've been lurking on the threads about Paul's demise, and about 2/3 of the way through the show the thought of them popped into my head, and I had to laugh because they were so inconsistent with what I was seeing. Paul is still the ultimate entertainer, and I didn't think about his voice a single time the entire show, other than that moment, because his performance was flawless. At least from what I observed up front, there was a tremendous vibe in the crowd, the audience could not have been more excited, and everyone I overheard while leaving talked about how amazing it was (as usual). I'm just not seeing someone who needs to hang it up anytime soon. He might still decide to at any point for his own reasons, but when you're still keeping 50K folks at a time fully engaged, and 200 people pay thousands of dollars just to see your soundcheck and love every second, it certainly doesn't seem necessary. Still the best out there, and I hope I'll continue seeing him for a long time.

Junior's Farm is the last song played during the video preshow before the concert starts. Then there are a few notes of The End and the photo of the Hofner, and then Paul walks on stage. Hard Day's Night is the opener. So what you heard was the recorded preshow music.

"I didn't think about his voice a single time the entire show, other than that moment, because his performance was flawless." NY Newsday did not think his voice was flawless, said it was less pliable but he made the best of it.

I agree with that review, watching my videos back his voice seems a bit more wobbly but during the show it was just awesome. Some parts he just killed it ("In Spite of All the Danger"). Obviously, having seen him in 2011, his voice has gotten older every time. That being said, I thought tonight was far better than I expected and I can see him going on until age 76, maybe 77 if he wants to. Barclays June 8 2013 was his best vocal performance I've seen, but holy shit the venue and audience sucked, and Paul was a bit reserved and uptight that night. Not my favorite show.

Thanks all for your reviews of the show! . Now I think we need one from DrivinFan... ;).

Sad question but what time did the confetti come down? I ask because D.C.'s subway system shuts down at midnight. The last train out leaves the venue at 12:05 a.m.

Dia- it was stated that the show was 2hrs and 36mins. If you were to back up from 12:05am, that means Paul could go on as late as 9:30pm and you would still make the train.

It's getting out of the venue from down on the floor that could take awhile. Anyway, just received a notice from TicketMaster to arrive early to allow for extra security and that Paul MAY go on stage at 8:00 p.m. prompt. Hopefully his team has been informed that DC's metro rail shuts down at midnight!

I'm sorry I missed sound check, I would have loved to see DrivinFan and his son go onstage. So happy for these 2 great guys, and great fans, "On top of the Mountain once again" The Sound, weather, and venue made it another great concert!

Really enjoyed and agree with your review!

I thought last night's show was particularly strong. The playing was spot on; despite this boards' persistent set list critiques, it was varied and mixed especially for a stadium show; his voice was largely on except for a few missed falsettos (compensated by some hearty Macca howls). Most of the songs have new visual elements (even if still in a familiar range). Paul looked a little more tired than I've seen before, and I didn't get the sense that he was having as much fun as usual (or as usually projected). I snapped about 300 photos and he's only smiling in a dozen! Highlights included strong versions of Letting Go, I've Got a Feeling, the busker versions of We Can Work It Out and You Won't See Me, Something, Four Five Seconds, Band on the Run and a surprisingly robust Hey Jude.

Great show! I don't know how or why, but his voice has only gotten better as the tour goes on. I usually have a few cringe moments, but not last night! No special guests; no fans brought onstage. Was fine with me! All the reviews I've seen have been good, and most made mention of the band being so good, and included their names. Nice to see them getting the recognition they deserve. (I was a little perturbed at Paul coming onstage and saying, "Hello, New YORK!" He did mention NJ later, though. And it did seem like most of the audience was from NY, based on the response when he did the "Who here is from..." bit.) As for the venue, that was the quickest I've ever gotten in. They had numerous lines, they moved through security quickly. I tried the Meadowlands train, which dropped us off right at the door, we got in a short, fast-moving line, and were in, with plenty of time to walk around, check the merchandise tables, etc. Nice!

It ended about 11:10. (I'm not sure exactly when he took the stage; I was too excited to check the time. I think maybe 8:20 or so.)

"Paul looked a little more tired than I've seen before, and I didn't get the sense that he was having as much fun as usual (or as usually projected)." Everyone has their good and bad days physically and after all he is 74. Obviously, he loves touring but if I was him I would have had enough.
