I can't believe all this negative about this new tour or Paul's voice. Almost all causal concert goers are happy or pretty much positive if you read all comments on FB page.

You and me both!! I enjoyed the concert (and, yes, I've been going to see Paul for years). As long as Paul is willing to tour, I will be willing to spend big bucks to spend the evening with him.

Same here. Many of the comments here are unbelievable.

I agree, I've been going a lot for a lot of years, and it's never enough. Other than family events nothing 's better than seeing THE MAN!!! Can't wait to see him this tour over and over again!!

So what's with the board these days? Is everyone on here a critic instead of a fan? Sure Paul's voice isn't what it used to be. What did you expect? Sure, a lot of people don't like the setlist. You can't please everyone. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed the concert. No matter what, Paul puts on a great show and I would never miss a chance to go and see him. He's still Paul McCartney!
Real fans prefer not to see artists they love embarrass themselves. I'm not going to see Paul again because I don't want my last memory of him live be one I want to suppress.

Let's put an end to the real fans stuff. I think one thing we can all agree on is that we are all real fans of Paul here on this board.

Oh contraire. Most of the comments are factual. Therefore believable, sadly.

Spot on.

To those of you who are criticizing his voice, were you at the Seattle concert? Or even Portland or Fresno? If not, in my opinion you have no right to judge. If you weren't there, you don't know how he sounded. I can only base my judgement on the Fresno show, which I attended. I thought he sounded great for Paul at this point in time. No he didn't sound like he did when he was 24, 44 or 64. But he still sounded great to me. If any of you personally attended the Seattle show, I welcome your first hand experience & comments.

I was at both Fresno and Portland. He sounded shithouse.

Way to "keep it real," as always.

Ah, the "real fans" card. God forbid someone may have a different point of view.

I agree... bad argument. My wife and I took my parents to see Glen Campbell during his farewell tour... hardly in his prime... we are so thankful we went.

Pretty much everyone here is a fan! Just have different wants, desires, and perspectives.

Some are happy to see him. Some listen to him.

Suzan:
No one mentioned how he played/rocked for 3 hrs. 7 minutes without a break.
He took the stage at 8:31pm and left the stage after his final encore at 11:21pm (2hrs, 50min). I don't understand why folks are always (slightly) exaggerating the lengths of his shows - he doesn't play 3hr gigs. Very close, yes, but with a couple of exceptions, I don't think he's ever broken the 3hr mark. NOTE: not trying to pick on you, Suzan - just something I've noticed. The guy next to me in Seattle insisted Springsteen's show there was 4hrs a couple weeks ago - and it wasn't... As to the vocals, I found them very suspect in Seattle. Here, There & Everywhere sounded really poor to me and I thought - maybe the "fresher" songs are giving him trouble. But then I heard noticeably weak spots in some of the stalwarts: Helter Skelter, We Can Work It Out, And I Love Her, Eleanor Rigby, etc. Check out this clip I saw of Live & Let Die from night 1 in Vancouver:
This was my 17th show. I've seen him in: 89, 90, 93, 02, 05, 09, 10, 13 & 14 previously and his vocals were nowhere near this dodgy, IMO. I hope he's suffering from a cold or something and that folks at later shows get stronger performances. -

I keep thinking of what I was doing one week ago tonight. Wish I was back there!
