JAMES McCARTNEY

Interesting thread, I had no idea he'd had that rift with hid Dad. Now that I think of it he did disappear from the radar screens between that stroll in Paris with Paul sometime in 1998 (or 1999) where he wore sandals (yeah, dunno why I remember that) and reappeared very overweight with Paul and Nancy on a beach. Looks like he's found his way...now if he could bother to walk an hour a day he'd definitely lose a lot of weight and that can never hurt.

It is pretty ridiculous to expect any children of the Beatles to "catch up" or even surpass their famous dads. Come on. Let's see you catch up with Paul's career.

I'm sure the poster in question was joking

You are? I've heard better jokes.

Sounds good, but what idiot filmed that and cut off the top of James' head?!
George Lucas? I know he likes to cut off hands. Maybe it's a slippery slope to heads.

James McCartney songs sound quite special, to me (his originals, especially). His singing is ethereal, appealingly high tones, almost angelic. His lyrics quite poetic. He's very gifted but laborw under such a long shadow. Overshadowed to the max, you might say. That didn't stop Jakob Dylan, for example, from coming out with his Wallflowers band songs, but in his case, especially, the work suffered a lot by comparison.

At least someone in the family is able to announce his tour dates in advance and in full ... http://www.jamesmccartney.com/?cat=6

I like it too, Kestrel. Had heard it once before. Gosh, it looks like the only thing left is "General Admission" for $17 for my area.

Poor James. He does himself no favors with this attitude. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2348819/Sir-Paul-McCartneys-son-James-gives-car-crash-television-interview-BBC-Breakfast.html Sorry, that was the old one.
