Loved the show! I never heard MOK live before, it was Awesome. It's always great seeing most of the Macca fans that you know and see at the shows. It's a reunion. I got really lucky tonight and had a picture signed as Paul was walking off stage. A great night! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! ::
So happy for you!!! And belated birthday wishes!
Thank you so much, it was a great Birthday

... As we were walking beside the venue after the show, a bus with a police escort came past us and there was Paul, standing beside the bus driver, looking out the window and waving to us as we waved back. THAT was just too cool!
Here's a video of it on instagram... https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t50.2886-16/13827604_1029185397117409_1062514448_n.mp4
Thanks! Can't recall the last time I've seen him in a tour bus! It was a great show. He was very energetic during soundcheck and did a nice, soulful version of Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On. Also fun to get Leaning on a Lampost instead of Ram On when he checked the ukelele. I love that one. Mull was wonderful as always. I have seen it many times and I always say that if it is your dream to see him do it live, the way to make it happen is very simple...just get yourself to a show in Canada (other than in Quebec) or Scotland.

Sadly you're much more likely to see MoK performed in Canada than Scotland as he's only played there once in the last 20 odd years. In fact, somewhat ironically, even in the recent past he's played it more in England than in Scotland (London O2 in 2009, Liverpool Echo Arena in 2011 v Hampden Park, Glasgow 2010)

In fact, before MoK, he said, "We always have to do this one whenever we're in Canada." And I wondered which one he was speaking of! Perhaps its sales were particularly good here.

True enough, altho I have never seen it myself at any of the England shows I have been to, so I don't tend to expect it there. I did see it in Scotland at the '79 Edinburgh and Glasgow gigs. I hope he does revisit Scotland soon for you all!

Is it just me, or was that the best MoK since the 2010 run of shows? It sounded really good.

I thought it was spot on. Pipe band was excellent. Whole show was neat and pretty, as Mickey Mouse used to say. I was even more pleased with it than I expected to be!

Well they definitely rehearsed it! As usual, soundcheckers were escorted out before the pipe band was brought in. However, our "room" for dinner was just a curtained-off area in the concourse, so we could easily hear them all rehearsing Mull. I believe it was played at least 3 times.

Just thought I'd share a very cool story. A friend of my mom's, who lives in Toronto, was gifted a 6th row VIP ticket to Hamilton at the last minute. She has always loved Paul but never been to a concert before. She is 82 years old. She loved every minute of the soundcheck, the dinner, and the actual concert. She told me she "burst into tears" when the pipers came on because her mom used to love pipe bands. How awesome is that? Perhaps some of you met her. She told me she made a lot of friends. I myself was sitting up in the cheap seats but I would have loved to have seen her reaction to it all.

Great story! What a terrific experience for the woman.
