Wow, that is so cool that Nancy sits in a regular seating area! It would be quite a shock to find her as your seat mate.
Outside of this board, how may people would recognize her - lol
The average concert goer doesn't seem to recognize her, as she keeps a low profile. She was greeting people (she seemed to have known them) right in front of us at Penn State last year, about 10-11 rows from the stage. No one around us realized it was her, or at least didn't make anything of it, and we respected her privacy and just smiled treating her as any other concert goer. After she walked away, we told the guy beside us that she was Paul's wife, he was blown away and didn't believe it!
Congrats on respecting her privacy. Famous people know when people recognize them and I am sure she was glad you treated her like normal person. Personal story a little off topic. Bunch of years ago, I would up sitting next to actor John Cusack on a plane in first class. (my company paid for it - lol). Anyway, I go to sit down and notice it is him but did not say anything. Flight takes off and he turns to me and says hi and asks how I am doing which was pretty cool. We talked for awhile about why I was flying to LA and current news of the day. After 15-20 minutes, I finally had the courage to say how much I liked "American Sweethearts" and did my best not to sound like crazy fan - ha ha. I guess my point is when you act normal to a famous person they will be more relaxed and appreciate it.
Great story! If you see him again, tell him how great he was in Love and Mercy as Brian Wilson!

I was seated ncxt to her guests in row 7th once. She only stopped by for about 3 songs. Heard from other friends who've seen her on the floor she tends to like the aisle or close to aisle seat, which makes sense. Makes it easier to come and go.

Friend said she was 10th row with Stella last night in Jersey-Bloomberg was behind them. I've seen Nancy both at sound checks and concerts. She's very low key but my friend did get a picture with her. All I can remember about HM is she always had to be in the fore front-anyone remember the Back In The US DVDs?? UGH

We saw Nancy chatting with folks in the audience before the start of the show in Little Rock back in April. She seemed like a 'regular fan' to me.
