Don't forget, this is a small venue which is the idea behind this part of the tour I guess. but since he refused to do Everybody Out There when he last came to Detroit, I'd be heartbroken if he does it in GR
-
"Small venue"--how small? I think it's cool he's playing Grand Rapids 'cause I just read a long novel set in Michigan that described the state vividly, made me feel like I was there. I like it when he plays places he's never done before. The concert goers are so excited Especially excited.

The entire tour seems to be made up of smaller venues but not too small. that is what's behind the name One on One I just hope he doesn't play Everybody Out There since he didn't play it in Detroit and I was so hoping he would I'm still upset I can't be there.

I have an extra Sound Check ticket for this concert. Row 3, center section, seat 34. $1600, face value. PM me if you're interested in seeing Paul from the 3rd row center-lots of eye contact with him when you're in the 3rd row!

Susy, I think that Van Andel seats 11,000.
-
It can seat an additional 2,000 for concerts, according to wiki page. So, at 13,000 this would be one of the smaller regular concert audiences he's performed for in recent years. Sioux Falls was similar capacity.

Yep, Albany in 2014 was 13,044 according to Billboard, and it was on fiiiiiire! Jealous of all going to this gig. Seeing him in a 75k seat football stadium will be, uh, fun

Is anyone else in town? I just met a very nice couple (Jimmy and Donna) from NYC at my hotel who will be seeing Paul solo for the first time. Jimmy saw the Beatles perform but hasn't seen Paul since except for meeting him in Manhattan once. He said he asked Paul what key he plays Blackbird in. Paul told him, "G." Jimmy had other great stories including his purchase of a Hofner bass and Vox amp at Manny's in 1963. This will be my 24th time but it is hard to beat the first.

I'll be in tomorrow morning !

I'm here, staying at the Amway Hotel. Where is everyone staying?
