Tokyo, Japan: The Dome, April 27/29/30, 2017 - CONFIRMED

No indication on where the seats are so that may well be true Carlos!

What makes you say October Renan???? I'll be at the April 29 and 30 shows in Tokyo woohoo!
Chriska, it's just a guess. When some artists go to Australia and New Zealand they don't do shows in Japan, probably because of the 10 hour flight distance that I mentioned on my previous post. Springsteen and the Stones are examples: their tours had an exclusive leg for Australia/New Zealand. We know that Paul usually takes a break after August, so he could rest until October and then do some concerts just in Australia/New Zealand. Macca usually takes short breaks between April and August and that pattern difficults a trip to a country far away like Australia. But like I said, it's just a guess.
Yeah I guess those bigger acts don't have to follow the typical / logical routes that smaller acts would to play those places and make the most amount of money they can etc. I hear what you're saying - Paul is definitely in that category, maybe even more so, and it definitely is reflected in how his shows are scheduled! I really hope he does make it here, and October would actually be amazing, cause I'm using all my annual leave in the first half of the year this year, so that would be a nice thing to look forward to in the second half. I guess I found it interesting that you mentioned a specific month in your guess so I quizzed you about it. But it definitely makes sense that he may not necessarily come here straight after Japan. I guess it's been so long that we get a sniff of a possible possibility and we get excited!

Where in the world is the Tokyo fan club sale?

Since 2015 he has been finished touring in October, and that's why I believe he'll do the same this year, because it seems like Paul doesn't like to change things. Maybe Australia in November? I think he'll be in Europe or South America on May, US and Canada on June/July/August and Australia in the end of 2017. Let's hope! Fans in Australia deserve a show! By the way, English isn't my mother tongue and I would like to say sorry if I wrote something wrong these last days.

Does anyone know roughly where the different ticket sections on the lottery are going to be? And what about the different levels of VIP?

Complete crap shoot. To be honest, there are very few good seats in a show at a baseball stadium, so just accept that and enjoy the show. Lots of the good seats are in the VIP packages - last time, just two levels. I think the cheapest was $800, and they were difficult to get because demand>supply. If you want to do VIP packages, certain countries in Europe are best because of all standing fields (get early entry).

Hmm, I'm not that comfortable picking seats without knowing even the general location. Not sure if I've misunderstood any of these but this would seem to indicate that general sale is on the 25th of February: http://www.kyodotokyo.com/paul_japan2017

I've been reading this board & I'm very confused. How does the ticket system there work? Is it like a lottery or something? Thanks

I have asked for a translation on another forum. If someone replies, I'll let you know their answer.

I don't speak Japanese so I'm relying on Google Translate but, based on what I observed in 2013, 2014 and 2015, I'm pretty certain that what you're looking at is the general onsale date (including the fact that it's 10am on a Saturday, and it's s single time - i.e. there's no start and finish date as per a lottery). Also, the latest "What's That You're Doing?" says this of the presale: "We are expecting that to take place in February, so please remember to keep checking back to the website for details!" The last three times there was a PM.com presale for Japan, it occurred in the final days before the general public onsale. If that pattern remains, the general public onsale would have to be no later than late February or early March. Based on the date you mentioned above, I expect it will start sometime between Wednesday February 22 and Friday February 24. Hope that helps! Cheers, Andrew.

Hi W.D., If you're talking about "S", "A" and "B", my recollection is that, in the past, the entire floor and a lot of the next level were "S" tickets, most of the rest were "A", and "B" were only the seats towards the back of the highest level. For the VIP (which I never had, but I did study the seating plans), the "Front Row" package was all of the front row EXCEPT the middle section(s). Some of these were way off of the end of the stage and some people were disappointed. The "Hot Sound" tickets (which may have been called something else there) were in the middle sections, approximately rows 2 to 8. Cheers, Andrew.

It makes sense. Perhaps they are waiting until all Japanese pre-sales and regular sales are over in late February so that they can announce the next batch in early March.

Worried about the huge Radiation leak that just stared up as they were trying to remove the radioactive material from Fukishima 2. Hope Paul and the band stays safe. ð???ð??ð?» Praying for the safety of everyone over there... Sounds like they need all our prayers at the moment.

Just sign up to ask some questions. I see Viagogo already releasing tickets, and they are a lot more expensive than Pia tickets. As I'm currently staying in Tokyo I've bought one "s-seat" Pia ticket. Are they the same with those "s-seats" on Viagogo? Also I didn't see any VIP tickets (with soundcheck attendance) on sale yet. Is there a way to get them? Many thanks, Zoe

I mentioned a link to that site before and had it (rightly) removed. I hadn't realised that it was a resale site. Nowhere that I could find makes any mention of that so I guess people have been taking their lottery tickets and reselling on those kinds of sites. The problem is that we don't speak Japanese and good translate isn't fantastically reliable so it's hard to work out what might or might not be legitimate.

Thanks W.D. Stevens. I managed to browse through Yahoo Japan and found out that the VIP tickets were always released after presale. However, I'm not sure those viagogo tickets are lottery tickets on resale, for my Pia lottery ticket is not available to pick up till Feb 25th. Also lottery tickets don't guarantee good seats, but high price viagogo tickets do. Now I'm waiting to apply for VIP tickets, but as winners are (then again) picked by lottery, I'm afraid it's a matter of luck.

Usually the PM.com website has a pre-sale in which you can get tickets before other pre-sales and the regular sale happen, but it seems that in Japan his official website comes last. In fact, I am not sure PM.com offers tickets at all. Perhaps someone can provide more accurate info?
That's right - in 2013, 2014 and 2015, the PM.com/Crowdsurge presale for Japan came last, after all of the local presales had finished. The exception was that VIP tickets were not sold through PM.com/Crowdsurge at all, and had to be bought through a Japanese-language website.
