Remember when Alfred Hitchcock auditioned to replace Ringo?

Sound of the longhairs? Have they seen the 1970s?

This is labeled John & Yoko. I think we all know that might not be right. Ravi, Peter, George Ringo has the best 8 track system money can buy. It doubles as a clock when the radio's off? Amazing.

[quote="HaileyMcComet"] Sound of the longhairs? Have they seen the 1970s? Not unless they had a time machine to travel to the future! lol

Nancy R:
One of the last photos taken of John, Dec. 8, 1980. Had never seen this one before. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/njr/Paul%20McCartney%20and%20The%20Beatles/IMG_0272_zpsgsfzetdh.jpg
Yep...Annie Leibovitz photo shot.

Thanks Nancy and oobu for posting the John & Yoko photos! Appreciated seeing them very much. From recent news reports it sounds like she is in frail health now.

Why didnt they fix Paul's tooth before shooting the Rain/Paperback Writer videos? I would think they had enough pull to get a dentist on 24x7 notice!

Paul probably wanted it that way.

Have you ever seen this cartoon?
British comedian (and McCartney impressionist) Stevie Riks does Paul's voice. It's a parody of the filming of the Paperback Writer promo, when the director discovers Paul has a broken tooth... the second half of the cartoon is a parody of the dentist putting "a special ingredient" in everyone's drinks (from the story related by John Lennon and George Harrison about their experience of that happening). Not sure if Paul would find this cartoon funny, he was probably sensitive about his tooth at the time, so don't mean to poke fun at him... just thought it was a cute cartoon that fits in with what you've been talking about -

I'll have to watch that one later. I think Paul left his tooth out on purpose. -
He broke the tooth in that moped accident in Liverpool on Dec. 26, 1965. Heaven only knows why he hadn't had it permanently fixed by May 1966

Not sure either, but he must have had a good reason that we just don't know about... This one is of Paul with Mal Evans on the grounds of Chiswick House, during filming of the Paperback Writer film, May 1966. Wonder if that's Mal's home movie camera, or he was taking some footage for Paul... I like it that Paul (and the rest of the Beatles) like flowers. From 1966 on they often had one tucked in their lapels or behind their ears or something (as in the All You Need is Love broadcast).

Speaking of flowers... here's one of George and Paul in Sweden, October, 1967 Story at http://wogew.blogspot.com/2017/01/sweden-1967.html
