Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors

Bbremer:
Syracuse being announced by Bowery Presents promoter, does this help or hurt the rumour? (Not sure just asking) is Paul known to have worked with them before? Or does this not matter?
if it's just the promoter, may or may not be Paul. If the mayor/city/county gets involved, then it is probably Paul ; here's a tweet from a Wichita newsman: Dave Grant?Verified account @dgrantkake 2h2 hours ago Intrust Arena, City of Wichita and Sedgwick Co. planning "major concert announcement" tomorrow. I wonder who it could be????

It's coming from the Executive Vice President of the Bowery presents. From my understanding Bowery presents is a fairly large company based in NYC so if the executive Vice President traveled 5 hours just to make an announcement, here's hoping its Paul!!

This announcement turned out to be for Garrison Keiller show.Ok, we'll scratch that one off.... Lincoln was the only one that didn't have mention of a 'press conference' anyway. Sorry, Nebraska. That leaves us with: Detroit, MI:
Des Moines, IA: Syracuse, NY: Shreveport, LA: http://www.shreveporttimes.com/story/entertainment/music/2017/04/24/paul-mccartney-centurylink/100842132/ Duluth, GA: https://www.facebook.com/InfiniteEnergyCenter/photos/pb.79491379540.-2207520000.1493064681./10154715316354541/?type=3&theater -
Add Duluth/Atlanta, Georgia. That's obviously Paul... https://www.facebook.com/InfiniteEnergyCenter/photos/pb.79491379540.-2207520000.1493064681./10154715316354541/?type=3&theater

I'm no insider, but I'd imagine that a Miami or Tampa show is going to happen. It's been since the US Tour, correct?
-
So far, Duluth, GA Syracuse, NY Des Moines, IA Wichita, KS Shreveport, LA Detroit, MI... He's really taking the "rinky-dink cities" approach seriously. It's looking like he'll announce a big chunk of the leg tomorrow. Good to see. I don't like the bit by bit approach.

He played Miami in 2010 (Up & Coming Tour)

Considering what we "know" so far, what order do you think he is going to do this? (Beside the obvious fact that the Detroit show would be when the arena opens up)

Well, Duluth is basically Atlanta-area. So I don't think that qualifies as rinky-dink. Nor does Detroit. And Syracuse is semi-major. But Des Moines, Wichita, and Shreveport... pretty much all secondary markets.

I think Shreveport said July 15th. I imagine that'll be one of the first of the US leg, if he's taking June off to work on the album. Maybe he'll do Des Moines and Wichita at the same time as each other, although he's not very good with efficiency when it comes to tour routing.

Yes, last South Florida show was April 2010 on Up & Coming. And he did Orlando in May 2013, at the very start of the Out There US tour.

The Shreveport news story actually mentions a date: July 15. The Detroit arena is scheduled to open in September. Supposedly Paul is not playing any shows in August. So there's no real way to tell when any of these are going to happen - I think some may be in July and some may be in September. Or, they are all July except for Detroit.
-
Shreveport??? Smh. Really hoping for a South Florida show, it's the biggest market he hasn't hit recently. No, Orlando in 2013 doesn't count.
-
so far from my predictions for shows that I wrote up right after the Budokan announcements happened, I guessed Wichita and Syracuse correctly. I guess we'll find out if he plays Albuquerque, San Antonio, Hartford, Baltimore, Tampa, Memphis, Houston, Las Vegas, Denver and Lexington as well
