_________________________________________________ Maccascruff, Good to hear that Sirius played "Sing the Changes". I listen to the station practically every time I get into my car and as I said, I have heard very little of Paul Post 1980 and especially the post 2000's. I understand that it is a Beatles station first and foremost but I would like to hear more Chaos, MAF, Driving Rain, New etc. I think Paul's material from those albums are so good.

___________________________________________________ Excellent point Nancy. Sirius seems to be repeating Paul 70's songs a bit too much like Hi,Hi, Hi, Helen Wheels and With a Little Luck. Nice to hear but I would prefer less repetition and at least a little bit of "later" Paul. Anyway, I will email them. I made it up to the Atlantic City NJ area and resting a little bit now. Love my new Ford Escape. This Thursday my sister and I are heading to Massachusetts to visit with my Daughter and her husband. We're going to the White Mountains together this weekend. I'll hear more Sirius in my car over the next week for sure. Can't wait to hear my Daughter tell me...Dad, what is this obsession with Beatles' music!! She kids me but she loves the Fabs too. I trained her well! I remind her all the time that the first song she danced to was..."Ballroom Dancing". I will definitely be playing the Tug of War CD in between Sirius.

I'm curious - are they playing equal amounts of solo Paul/John/George/Ringo or are Paul & John dominating like they did 50 years ago

Not impressed. You can get an all-Beatles channel on Pandora, for free!
Its all about platform competition today - Apple vs Amazon vs Pandora vs Spotify vs Sirius etc. Consumers usually stick with one platform, so they each try to make their platform attractive & sticky so you dont leave. Having Beatles' music is almost a "must-have" today for a platform. I guess Sirius is trying to "differentiate" by having DJs, special guests, etc. talk about Beatles' music as well. I guess that may appeal to some people, but not a majority. Most just want the music. For me, I use Amazon. They have most of the Beatles albums om Prime Music, along with Beatles playlists, radio stations. I just get in my car, sync my smartphone with the car speakers using Bluetooth, and have high quality, personalized Beatles music through my high-def speakers. I also read somewhere that Amazon wants to get into the concert ticketing/promotion business (& disrupt Live Nation/Ticket Master). So, as your streaming your Beatles/Paul/Ringo album, you can get a discount ticket to a local Paul/Ringo show! Amazon is taking over the world!!! (at least the U.S. for now

____________________________________________________________ Joey, I'm getting to hear the Sirius Beatles station a lot since I've been traveling and they are surely playing equal amounts of Solo songs from all 4 Beatles. Ringo is probably benefitting the most because all you would ever hear from Ringo Post Beatles on regular radio classic rock or oldies stations was his early singles/hits. Lots of George solo too. Again, my main complaint concerning Paul is that they don't play much of his music from Tug of War on. Mainly it is Paul 70's music.

It looks they will be playing the Oobu Joobu radio series! I have it all on cds! http://blog.siriusxm.com/2017/08/16/paul-mccartneys-original-radio-series-oobu-joobu-hits-sxm-airwaves/

I was hoping it was the series, but it's a one hour show. I wish they would play the entire series. Paul songs from concerts in the 2000's are being played on the channel. It shows the artist as Paul McCartney Live. I'm surprised at how much Ringo solo is being played.

ENOUGH WITH THE PROMOS!! it's a safe bet people are aware they're on the Beatles channel. I understand they're going to have them but after every other song? that's just ridiculous!! I do love the "influences" bit though

Sing the Changes is great!! I love that one too! Quick, if you listen in NOW, songs from Beatles children are playing!!! Just heard James singing Old Man...woo hoo cranked it up on the way home. Oh what a delight!!!

The other morning I heard n Chris Carter's Breakfast show I heard: Tomorrow from Wildlife Always loved that song and Paul's vocal in particular. It sounded great on the radio. Don't know why "Tomorrow" wasn't put out as the "single" for Wildlife. It was the most commercial of all the tracks. If my memory is correct, Paul didn't put out any single for the album. Still am disappointed with the playlist on the station. It's a great station but it's starting to get too repetitious for my taste. I emailed to Sirius my main complaint when it comes to their playlist and specifically Paul's Post Beatles songs. Yes, they are playing lots of Paul's 70's music but where is Paul's Solo catalog (from Tug of War on). I have heard very little from Tug, Flowers, Off the Ground, Flaming Pie, Driving Rain, Chaos, MAF, New etc etc.

I agree with you. I feel like they play more live Solo Paul from those eras rather than his own studio recordings. I also feel the same for John, i feel like ive heard "Instant Karma" and "Imagine" live more than the studio releases of those songs. Also they play early outtakes from the iTunes album the Bootleg Beatles but i havent heard Anthology outtakes or songs ("That Means A Lot"...etc) on the daily playlists? Why is that?
