https://www.facebook.com/artistjodysteel/videos/523912289252067/That was a pretty scary movie! In the scene where the girl spews green liquid all over, the woman to my left said âOh, I think Iâm going to be sick!â and I told her âWell, youâd better not throw up on me!â and she got up and left! I thought The Omen was much scarier than The Exorcist though. I was 18 when TE came out and 21 when TO came out.

We have to understand the name of that haircut originated around 60 years ago. I did not see that show but willing to bet at least 1 or 2 of the contestants were not even born then. Even if they were, when was the last time you heard anybody use that term? Sure, this is easy for people like us, but it is because we are big time fans of the Beatles. Awhile back Jeopardy had a NY Yankee category, and they did not get one question correct. My goodness, these people never heard of Babe Ruth - lol.
Yeah, I know! It just really cracked me up because one of my good friends has moptops as part of her email address! Of course had to tell her!
Whatever happened to Moptops that used to post here? I enjoyed his discussions. Audi? He was another.

We do get Jeopardy on cable TV here in Australia.... and years ago, they tried to do an Australian version which just didn't work out... It was crapola.... Of course Alex Trebek was the long standing host.... Is Blossom (who was brilliant in Big Bang Theory) now the host? Mayim?
Yes, Mayim Bialik is the host of regular Jeopardy right now. She also hosted Celebrity Jeopardy. Ken Jennings did Jeopardy Masters.

I think Moptops was banned and then I know Audi was so pissed about the situation he told them to ban him too! Weâve been in contact since then and Audi interviewed me about The Beatles for his radio show.

Like I said to Nancy in another post, these types of questions are about things from around 60 years ago. How old were the contestants? There are a lot more famous Beatle songs that the "everyday" type person might know some of the lyrics than "Strawberry Fields" IMO. Just because these questions are simple to us does not mean these contestants are not smart.
We have a TV quiz show in Australia called Hot Seat (Who Wants to be a Millionaire).... and every time a question comes on for a 25 year old, for example, that relates to the 1980's, they say, "Before my time"..... Times have changed. I am typical Gen X..... But, I grew up loving things that were well before I was born. The Twilight Zone, one of my favorite shows. Ended before I was born. Get Smart. 1965. Before I was born. I've got the whole collection. Cost me a grand. A Night At the Opera, Marx Brothers, one of the great movies. 1935.... We had a sense of appreciation for history. The people of today have lost their appreciation of history. Then again, we didn't have multiple streaming devices, the internet, those dreadful dating devices and SMS/email. All distractions from history.
Gen X are those born between 1965 and 1980. Which end of that spectrum are you? For some reason I thought you were older, maybe because you seemed âmature.â
