You don't look bad for a giraffe with a hollow, bronze leg, Paul.
I love that quote! And I love you, Paul.
That was my banner in 2003.

Oh my, what a roller coaster ride of a week!!! Sunday, I drove from MD to NYC to take my place in line (#118 of 125) at Paul's book signing. 18 hours of exhaustion, fun, commraderie (a big HELLO to my new friends from Japan, Brazil and Minnesota!) and anxiety (last time I was #143 of 200, but only 140 got in ). THIS time, I actually got to meet Paul , shake his hand, say a few words and have my book signed, WITH a "Cheers!", by Sir Paul himself! (When I got back to work on Tuesday, and showed my book to my co-workers, most of whom didn't know I was going, the first comment I got, after "WOW!", was "...And you're still alive?!?!"). It only took 41-1/2 years! {IF YOU'RE READING THIS, PAUL, THANK U VERY MUCH!!!!!}. I was SO happy. Then, came the sad news of the sudden death of Mike Gibbins, drummer for Badfinger. Particularly sad for me, as I've known the members of Badfinger for 35 years. In fact, I refused to believe it until it was confirmed to me by Joey on the phone. And, btw, I 've seen "Joey Molland's Badfinger" in every size and style venue possible, and I like the smaller, more intimate shows better than the larger ones where you can't even see them. To watch Joey's precision guitarwork up close and personal is an awesome treat, and I wish people would get off his case and appreciate the music. I'll take "Come And Get It" live by Joey or Paul, anytime either of them cares to play it for me! As for Mike, I'm still in shock. He was only 56, a year older than me. Tomorrow, I'll be at the MCI Center in DC to see Paul's concert - that is if you can see anything from section 421, as far back, up and in the corner as you can get in that venue-but at least I'm in the building. Sure wish I'd received my Passcode. Quite a week of real ups and downs. Peace, Cary.

Thanky you dear Paul. It is sooo goood, that I cannot choose one favorite from the songs. That makes it great album. I am very grateful to you for doing this music and other things.I particulary in love with your voice(besides your eyes, hair, eyebrows, legs etc.) I cannot describe how I feel myself whenever I hear your singing, so delightful. I am a bit depressed that I would never be able to show that tremendous geniun love I feel for you.

Paul if you read this... well,AGAIN AND AGAIN I just want to say I love you so much and I'd be so happy if you come to Mexico!
-
You will be cheering me up tonight, dearest Paul. I need a little C and C. Thank you for that great album and many more, and I'll be seeing you in 15 days.
-
Yeah, your music is really therapeutic for me.
-
Yes many, many, many thanks. See you in November.

Hey Paul...sometimes...when no one is looking...do you get Bill Black's bass out, put on "Don't Be Cruel" and, like, pretend you're playing bass with Elvis? Just wondered. And if you did...would Heather say you're nuts or would she put on a tiara and pretend to be Priscilla?
-
You don't have to answer that.
-
LMAO, Tori!
-
Is that a roundabout way of asking about their nocturnal activities?! And from a moderator, too!!

YES it IS!!!!

Yeah; it's John's birthday today. And Sean's too, of course. Paul, that letter you wrote to Q magazine about John, had me in tears; I don't know him and was not even born til after he was gone, but I miss John so much.
