The Change they want to make is to have their face as the new President of the US
Okey. I'll search if there's something more to that. I have asked that kind of silly question, because I don't see what change is that really either.

I don't come to this thread to discuss. Nor to teach or whatever... just to learn. It seems like Obama is now ahead of Hillary... and people says (people says...) kind like Obama is something else... that has differents ideas, etc. What are they? I guess I can look at his web page or so. I just like to know kind of objectively what is that "difference" or that "change" really, with no offense to Obama, Hillary, Republicans or any other candidate.
Hi Oliver some of us have posted some of Obamas speeches on this thread..his speeches really reflect his vision. You are right his website is a good place to get information, there you will find his policies regarding the nuts and bolts issues such as health care, Iraq war, economy etc. Also you can read his endorsements which are many. I am working on his campaign as are a few others on this board. If you spend the time to get to know about Obama, you will know more than many Americans, I assure you. IMHO I think his election could be positively transforming for the US and the world.

McCain is definitely not another Bush......just something for certain people to say who can't find anything else to say. And I love how people abuse the word "Warmonger".....get real! Let's not respect him for the veteran that he is... : Interesting times are ahead and I think alot of people are going to be disappointed.......could it be me? Sure.....but we'll see...
-
Jen.....if you like McCain he is going to win. I believe in your choices. Look what you did for the Giants, girl!!
-
Think for yourself ! What is the positive spin on being a warmonger ? Not forgetting al qaeda and Saddam were backed originally by the US. A change of foreign policy by the UK and US is essential , and a warmonger isnt going to do that. Mr Bragg says it far better than me the price of oil
EDIT.....looks like my definition was spot on -
He has to get the nomination first: the longer it goes on, the more costly it will become. New Mexico remains undecided. Missouri was razor then. If the party remains split on their candidate, it's highly unlikely they will win in november. look at the elections in 1968, 1972 and 1980. paging upcoming primary states; make your marks.

Well I'm been in his page, checking only "economy issues" because they are more objective than others mentioned, like "faith" or foreign affairs. Well, I don't see a "change" or anything "different". I see kind of a 7 instead of a 6 in some percentages and that stuff. Well, it's change but it's not something different. Everyone is gonna do a change, even Bush is he could stay. But as something "different", I don't see it. And I don't mean I don't like him or so... maybe I would prefer them over others... but it's the same old thing. I'll look more things in the future, especially if he gets elected, but I haven't find anything special.

I'm not a very political person, as I believe that real and significant change begins with one changing their own conditions and taking on a responsibility to better their own life. I don't believe Bush is pure evil, and I don't believe that Obama or The Clintons can solve the world's problems. Did World War 3 happen when Reagan was president like so many people were saying at that time?- no. Was there world peace when Carter or Clinton were in the White House?- hardly. And, just for the record, I don't consider myself either conservative or liberal. I usually speak for myself on matters, but just listen to John Lennon in this audio clip. The guy is completely on top of it when he speaks of political issues- he hits everything so on point :
...this sounds like `79 or '80 to me. -
Think for yourself !
If that was intended for Amanda......I think she was kidding... :

I just ignored that comment. Whoever wins doesn't matter to me. They are all the same to in my mind.....and I won't bother to say what that is.

Crap!!!! Barrack the drug abusin canadate and were not takin a joint either....
So you mean coke? How do you explain Bush then?
i have to say...I believe we are getting to an age where finding anyone who hasn't drank, smoked, snort whatever will be hard to find...at least most have been honest about it..
-
I couldn't agree more. I wasn't dissing Bush for that (I have bigger fish), just pointing out a double-standard. I know some will say that there's no proof that Bush snorted but add it up, he was a rich kid with nothing much to do in the 70s - of course he did coke. But I think you're right, it's a question of whether someone is candid about it. I have nothing but admiration for Bush for getting off the bottle with nothing but his own willpower. Good for him! It doesn't mean he's a good president, but his former alcohol abuse is not what makes him a bad president either.

...this sounds like `79 or '80 to me.I believe the same about life. Don't ever wait for a politician to change yours, it's you who has to make "a better world", if ever making your own life better. When Lennon speaks, the world listens, or it should listen. Like Paul, he was almost always right. I've got to listen. What took me to Obama is the latest interview in Rolling Stone with Bono that points to his new ideas and says the most important thing to come in the world are the next US elections. But I don't see what Bono means. He's a endless optimist, and maybe he's just seeing more than there is really. And last but not least, this could be nominated as the silliest question ever. But, besides the choosen Democrat and the choosen Republican, is there any rumours or news about other candidates?. You know.
-
I've listened to Lennon. And yes, same old story, we think our leaders have a power they don't have. Not even the presidents. It's the people really. And it's great to hear him talking about visualizing (what I call "The Toppermost of the Poppermost" law)... to make something happen. Imagining, daydreaming... mentioning Billy Jean King... now I know Tiger Woods uses it, for instance. Dreams create reality.... yes, nightmares too.

Not at all silly....there's Michael Bloomberg, mayor of NYC. Apparently he is "thinking" about it. It's been said that if the candiates are hillary and mccain, he will enter the race. The there's the perennial "favorite" Ralph Nader : He ran (again) in 2000. He's trying to get on the ballot in the various states in November.

My candidate won my State's primary.

No, but slightly humorous.

Ouch. That's a rather large accusation to make about someone whom you do not know personally, dontcha think?

I have more evidence than he started a war with. It's been "pretty well confirmed."
