Of course there is........we could all make pages of it, from both sides.

Why are you sure? This is the thing I don't get. Whenever anyone posts actual evidence of a certain side behaving disgracefully, someone will always pipe up and say, "Oh well, I'm sure the other side does that too," without any further comment. Is there a reason for this certainty? I expect attempted "humour" like this from blogs. The reason I found this one notable is because it is the Republican party itself doing this. I would have hoped they'd have more dignity. And for the record, I checked the DNC's website to see if they had anything similar. They didn't. If someone has seen something I missed, I'd like to know about it. I don't want to sound completely anal about this but in future, if people are going to say "I'm sure," about something, could they please also explain why? It's purely in the interests of informed discussion.

I did not look carefully enough and being it came direclty from RNC, I agree with you about not being classy. BUT.....there is still alot of time left and I assume (did not use the word sure) there will be plenty of mudslinging from both sides.....it's a mean world out there..
-
I sent two to some friends/co-workers. Both are dems. They thought it was funny. (Actually one used the word "cute," but...) Thanks for that...

Okay you caught me. I did not check the DNC or have any quotes or cut and paste stuff to support what I said. I took it light natured like -- and from a national level of a party such as the RNC it is pretty low. I will have to work on this -- meaning the quick comment or shrug. My guess (and my guess only - no evidence or support) is there will be things said or done -- dirt/ mud of this nature (or I will be suprised and would have made another statement that was out of wack).

if you want to see that kind of humour you may have the seen the "bomb, bomb, iran" video (well, videos) singing Barbara Ann...

Bill:
I have more evidence than he started a war with. It's been "pretty well confirmed."

Is it really from the RNC or is it an underhanded hoax?? Should be easy to verify Going to the RNC (GOP) website ... I just might give it a try Could not find anything resembling the above "message" I think it probably is "counterfit".
-
Check the origin of the photo Andy. This is the address: http://net.gop.com/valentine/images%5Cvec_obama4.jpg I've checked the site again and it's no longer there. They must have had some blowback. It was on the front page yesterday, I can assure you of that. I wouldn't bullshit you. And the picture must still be on their servers, otherwise it would disappear from here too. Jen, thank you for that eloquent rebuttal. You blew me right out of the water with that quote/smiley combo. Jenny and Fool, in all fairness, the DNC site is loaded with negativity towards the Republican candidates which does not reflect well on them, especially since Obama is running such a positive campaign. We shall see how low they go.

Hush! I was tired, it was nap time! I guess I'm just sick of all this "we didn't have enough evidence" crap. Well, that may very well be, but like it or not we ARE at war and I think it's high time people stop complaining about the evidence, or lack thereof, and start spending their time on more important matters. It's all good and well if you don't support the war, that is your right, but the "evidence" argument got old years ago...we've all heard it, we all know it, so stop bringing it up! (Only my humble opinion, of course. ) Bill....I've learned my lesson and will never again respond to you with a mere smiley.

My apologies! I think the lack of evidence is of the utmost importance especially because those who originally deceived us, whether it was through accident or design, are still in charge of running the war. That scares me. That's my opinion anyway - I won't make any claim to humility. ops:

I wasn't saying that it isn't important, rather, one way or the other, we ARE at war... I understand why you're scared, but I don't think that the whole lack of evidence ordeal automatically means that those people will be inept to "run the war".

It just goes to show you that when someone might get elected that would do real change there shot down. I hope it's Obama and have contributed to his election but I think Hillary and the ones who want her to be the running mate against McCain, are all ready working their trickery. I think Obama thinks so too. When you look at contribution lots of individual s are giving to his campaign but when you look at Hillary. There smoke screens. She down in Texas instead of voting in the Senate where important laws and being made right now. Obama and McCain where there but Hillary in Texas the land of Bush and the evil empire selling her sole to the devil. If she gets the nomination than the Bush puppeteers will of gotten there guys in as they wanted. Plus the Rep know they can beat Hillary and they know of Obama gets it he will be the next president. I hopeful but there so much corruption in US politics.

No jokes?! No Humor?!? Well I am just going to have to talk with the author of this thread and ....oh ops: Its me -- well thus-fact-forth if you really look at politics -- it seems like a joke sometimes "Change" is the talk - while running for the office of President of the US. 1. Change the person in the White House (This will be easy since all candidates qualify for that) 2. Change - you give Washington DC your dollars -- and they give you change 3. Change our minds -- they say one thing and do another -- its all a part of change 4. Change -- getting people interested and voting (This is a good change that I like to see). 5. Change - the rug in the White House -- thats right the new president is able to change this to their choice of color and pattern 6. Change - The portrait will change 7. Change - some or more of the staff will change 8. Change the way you look at the world --even if nothing changes *the above are all light -- not serious -- not researched - not quoted - not cut and pasted -- just there for the sake of being there **not endorsed by any candidate *** sometimes just a foolish type of post

Please. Both Hillary and Obama were there to vote on the economic stimulus package as drafted by the senate. That would've provided an extension of unemployment benefits and help for fuel. It failed by "one" vote: McCain's because he wants the party's nomination. So much for his willingness to "reach across the aisle to democrats" as he often says in his campaign. He wasn't even there!
