Paul, Consol Energy Center Pittsburgh Aug 18th - ARCHIVE
-
I saw on one those scalping sites just now that they have Paul listed for the 2 Philly shows, August 13 and 14, and with a rumored date of August 15th.

Paul and his peeps..if you ever read this..I HATE THIS NEW WAY OF ANNOUNCING SHOWS. Thank you.
I'll second that!!!
-
okay, this is how I see it... July 3rd Paul arrives in US to spend 4th of July with Nancy in New York. July 7th Paul makes a special appearence to conclude Ringo's B- Day concert. July 10th San Francisco July 13th Salt Lake City throughout July more Mid-west US dates occur Paul concludes tour in mid August, hitting both pittsburgh and philadelphia in august, closing the tour with one of them.
-
I'm really pleased that it will likely be at the Consol Energy Center and indoors. You could fit more people at Heinz Field or PNC Park but the weather always scares me.
-
I have a headache!
-
So do I, so do I. I hope he chooses the indoor venue as well, especially if it's going to be in August.
-
KDKA said he will make more money if it's at Consol so that's probably a guarantee.
-
Somebody on Andre Gardner's facebook posted they heard from a friend that LiveNation said Paul was coming to Philly on Aug 13 and 14th, with tickets going on sale May 24th. Thats when these two announced shows are going on sale too..so that person may have been right. That also means Philly would have to be announced this week...and you would think Pittsburgh too. He starts the tour back up on the 28th so all the dates could be revealed by then (this week).

Yeah, a washout is no fun..Well, it's still fun as Citi Field was still a blast last year, but my poster and other souvenirs got ruined and it made taking pics very difficult. Consol Energy Center will be amazing!

It's no fun when you get washed out. I'm hoping we get better weather at Hyde Park, London this summer than the last time I went to the festival. We got soaked and couldn't enjoy the headliner Peter Gabriel properly as we were wet through! Fingers crossed for sunshine when Paul plays the park this time. Is August a bad month for weather in Pittsburgh then? If so, I guess the indoor arena makes more sense. Just hope there's enough seats for everyone who wants to go.

Love the thought of Paul turning up at Ringo's 70th birthday gig! I wonder if he'll stay in the US after his SLC gig though. His daughter will be on school holidays in late July and if he's on tour in Pittsburgh and Philly in mid August, he might come back to the UK for the first half of the school holidays to spend time with her. That would also fit with his pattern of playing no more than a few gigs at a time.

Southwestern PA is full of unpredictable weather. One day it's 80 degrees and sunny, the next it's 55 and raining. No exaggeration either! Usually by August the temps are fairly stable, but we have more rainy and cloudy days here than sunny.
-
Thanks for that Gina. Sounds a bit like Melbourne in Australia - Neil Finn wrote a song called "Four Seasons in One Day" based on the Melbourne weather, because it changes so much. Mind you, it can be like that here in the UK too. : Probably why we all talk about the weather so much in this country.
-
Pittsburgh weather last August was awful. Was hardly sunny out and didn't feel like summer at all. Usually August weather is rain free and full of sunny days and humid nights, but as Gina said the weather is very unpredictable here.
