I was a pallbearer in the late 60's for a teenage friend. He and his young pregnant wife were on vacation in Arkansas. He was out target practicing with a small caliber hand gun with a friend. The gun jammed. When trying to unjam it, it discharged and went through his hand and into his heart and killed him. One shot from one small caliber bullet can kill a person. These rifles that have the kill power of firing 100 to 200 times a minute are nothing but mass murder killing machines. They are far far far far far too dangerous to be easily accessible to the general public. Gun owners should be held strictly accountable for the arms they bear. People have a right to protect themselves, but their killing power should not be limitless.
Ditto!
I agree! No assault weapons should be legal for just anyone to buy. I mean, there is no good reason for a regular citizen to have them.
I agree too! I don't understand why this is so hard for people to understand. It's not like the movie Independence Day where aliens are attacking us and we need a Rambo when there's no army or police to protect us, lol. There's no reason whatsover for anyone (other than the military) to have assault rifles or machine guns. What's wrong with just a simple ban on that?
So proud of all the high school students and everyone (including Paul!) who took a stand at the March last Saturday. The national debate on this has been going on for a long time, it's time for our lawmakers to come up with answers now.
The Good Students Of All Nations And Religions Today Are Our Hope For The 21st Century. They Are The Children Of God (Love) And Our Hope For The Future. May They Never Never Never Never Never Stop Until We Can Finally Have Truly Peaceful Peaceful Peace On Earth. It Is Not A Whimsical Dream. It Is As Equally Possible As Any Other Outcome We Can Pursue. Either Way, Life's Promoters Of Love And Peace Will Remain In The Arms Of The True Godz Of The Universe Forever. I Personally Am Betting On The 1,000 Years Of Peace That Was Predicted Long Ago. It Has Been In The Making For Decades If You Hadn't Noticed.. It Will Come About If We Keep Believing For And Working Toward That Goal. NEVER, NEVER NEVER STOP!!!
And, We Know You Won't

I was shocked and upset to see a relative of mine posted something that sneered at, mocked one of the Parkland student activists who had seen his classmates shot down--more so because she's always loved children, works with children. I already knew she's a Trump supporter, despite her high level of education. And that her hubby likes to fish and hunt, and they believe in also having a gun in the house for protection. But I don't understand why in the world she posted that. I told her she'd better remove it, she might lose her job, and she responded heatedly that she has a right to free speech and she would quit her job if she caught any flak about this.

She sounds like a real piece of work!

I don't think these people who hate children so much should remove all their ranting and raving from social media. For one thing, they have every right to say whatever crazy, hateful, conspiracy laden BS they want. For another, it's good to see who the most hateful people are. They don't literally wear tin foil hats. Sometimes, it's only their posts that show their true colors.
