Well, there's a possibility that I guess many don't even like to be imagined as a joke. But if Paul goes all about the Beatles... Do you know what "Queen+Paul Rodgers" or "Queen+Adam Lambert" is?. Paul and Ringo could do it with say Clapton and Julian Lennon, u know and do a tour like The Beatles+Clapton. It CAN happen.
But Paul is already doing that. He talks in interviews as if A Hard Day's Night and Mr. Kite are songs he wrote.
Unless you see "The Beatles" instead of "Paul McCartney" as the artist announced to perform, Paul is not doing that.
His set list says that. Paul has so many amazing tunes he wrote, why on earth is he playing John Lennon songs instead of his own fantastic tunes?
Very simple. It is a Beatle song and will get huge applause and feed his fragile ego. A solo song will not be as well known and will not get the same reaction. People attending the show will not care that it was he is doing Lennon song.
not that simple, Mr Kite doesn't get a huge ovation, for instance...
Ok, still gets better response then if he played "Promise To You Girl" for example.

With regards to that, especially Kite. I don't believe one word of it. It's not enough for him to have his own awesome compositions?...now he wants to claim credit for other songs? What next...he wrote Something and Here Comes The Sun? I don't believe a word of it. I seriously believe he's telling porkies.

Yup. And many attending think he wrote it.
His audiences are 70% dullards...

I agree with all your points. You gotta wonder what is up with that??

Although I too would have a favorite set list, I refrain from adding songs I really like, but no longer think he could do justice (With A Little Luck, etc etc)...Plus I'm afraid they'd copy the DJ edit version...LOL

yes, well, cause less people is familar with Promise to you girl. But with No More Lonely Nights the ovation would be 10 times the Kite one. But Paul is NOT on a ovation quest... as he says "We already know what you like..."

So now... people think John wrote Yesterday, Hey Jude and Let It Be and think that Paul wrote Mr Kite and A Hard Day's Night

It's the intro for So Glad To See You Here, the real opener. I like it. Bowie liked it...

then maybe I wasn't egoistical enough, lol. See it's over 60 songs, I'm not caring for Paul either.

http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/2016/06/10/481256944/all-songs-1-a-conversation-with-paul-mccartney And another very telling fragment from 3:37 on. A mention of 'Arrow Through Me', not listened to since he recorded it. What album it was on? "You tell me".

In a way its good that songs like Paperback Writer, long and winding rd and Helter Skelter have been rested for this tour. Moving forward the New songs should be changed around and why not alternate maybe im amazed and Eleanor Rigby with for no one and Penny Lane. They dont need to be done every single show.

After going to Philly and seeing the One on One Tour for the first time last night (and knowing I'll see it at least once more in August)...here's my suggestion for the NEXT tour (hopefully that comes sooner than 3 years like the Out There tour did...) I kept the same form of the show that Paul has now, and I even through in some Lennon-centric songs like Paul does. There's 14 songs on this list I've never heard live. I Feel Fine Jet Can't Buy Me Love I've Had Enough Coming Up Let Me Roll It What You're Doing Wanderlust Fine Line Here, There, and Everywhere My Love We Can Work it Out In Spite of All The Danger You Won't See Me Love Me Do I Will Blackbird Here Today Something For No One Your Mother Should Know The Fool On The Hill Good Day Sunshine Too Many People Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey Band on The Run Penny Lane The Word All You Need is Love Let it Be Live and Let Die Hey Jude ENCORE Yesterday Please, Please Me Hi, Hi, Hi Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End

Awesome list mate the only slight tweak is Venus & Mars/Rock Show as the opening (it's the best opener he's done IMO) & take out Let Me Roll It for the time being
-
I'd love to hear Venus and Mars again! He didn't keep it long enough, or play enough of it. It just wasn't choreographed quite right. I went with "I Feel Fine" since he seems to be on this kick of opening with Lennon lead vocal numbers. And "Let Me Roll It"? I've just assumed that one isn't leaving.

While I have done set lists I would like to see over the years on this thread, it all has become pointless IMO because it is just a sheer fantasy of all of us and will never happen. Mr. McCartney has never played a top 10 single (Take It Away) from TOW but yet he might played "Wanderlust" which I could not imagine he would sing very well at this time in his long career. He probably does not even remember he made an album called "London Town" (lol) so highly doubt we would ever hear "I've Had Enough" I don't get the point of "Lennon" songs. It is a Paul McCartney concert so why not play Paul McCartney music from after 1981, novel concept - lol.
-
The vast majority of fans at the show want and love the Beatles hits. In Philly, the back to back "Letting Go" and "Temporary Secretary" was probably the biggest flop of the night. That being said, we deserve a series of shows (not even a full tour) at intimate venues with REAL "pure" McCartney music. It can span from the 60's to the present with the hits and deep cuts that define the man throughout his life. Let us experience '65 with "Yesterday" and '73 with "Band on The Run" and '82 with "Wanderlust" and '89 with "My Brave Face" and on and on.
