hello aall, sorry, i am new here!! I am so excited , I wanted to ask you.. do you have any idea, have you heard something about a new secret show in Liverpool ?? I will be at the concert tomorrow, but i was thinking...maybe there are possibilities for a new secret gig
I arrived in Liverpool Sunday and asked at the Cavern if such a show was possible. They laughed and said, "Paul who?" Honestly, even though tickets went so fast, there really doesn't seem to be much buzz around town. Even the Beatleswalk guide I met yesterday said it seems a bit slow. I was the only one on the walk.
I see, interesting....hmm, thank you for the answer.... i still hope maybe tomorrow someth can appear. Meanwhile i am here, hope you enjooooy the moment!!
Maybe he will go have a drink tonight haha and we can see him accidentally!!
Roag posted this, so, might be worth it to loiter around the museum, haha!
Oh,i will pass by but it depends on the hour too, oh, craazy! Have you heard? He said tonight at the show, see you tomorrow at cavern, like a joke, buuut maybe...

Wonderful show, incredible from a 76 year old. Not too sure about I Saw Her Standing There tonight Also would have liked to see Penny Lane, but the overall performance was brilliant.
Haha, I hope my "..."'s were clear (I saw a live stream.)
Glad you enjoyed the show! Interesting how 'Penny Lane' is now a no-go. In 2015 he soundchecked it, didn't play it. In 2018 he teased it on social media, didn't play it. To be fair, in 2010 I heard it during an open air rehearsal in Dublin, and he was absolutely struggling through it, also with the combination of that complicated bass line and singing at the same time. And this was during his last good vocal years...
Yes I got it Didn't know there was a live stream of the show. Makes sense regarding Penny Lane, although I thought Maybe I'm Amazed sounded better than in 2015. The merchandise wasn't great IMO, I didn't like any of the t shirts so I settled for a poster.
I agree on the merchandise. T-shirts left a lot to be desired. I was hoping for one that had just the Liverpool show but none to be seen.
Even though I was prepared it was still shocking not to hear Yesterday. I also purposely avoided listening to the new Egypt Station songs until I heard them live. I thought they were great.
Yep I wanted one with just Liverpool on it as well. Yesterday needed to be included, the crowd were great on Hey Jude and going into Yesterday would have been well received. Agree with the ES songs, apart from Fuh You which everyone left to get drinks lol.
The difference between seating and general admission standing. Major crowd participation in Copenhagen and Krakow, a highlight.

I don't think it's a GA vs seating thing, it's die-hard fans versus everyone else. The soundcheckers are mostly standing the entire show anyway. The new songs got a great reception from us as always, but I don't doubt that the rest of the crowd was unenthused. In the OneOnOne shows it was like night and day during Queenie Eye on the floor (major party) versus anywhere else (bathroom exodus).
(FWIW I'm one of those who can't stand GA, and making us soundcheckers stand in line waiting for 80 minutes today was nearly as bad).

Great show. Loved hearing the horns live, and I'm glad he did Wonderful Christmastime.
Elvis Costello and Diana Krall were in the audience. I met him briefly on the way out, shook hands and thanked him for the music.
Also met Pete Best at his family's new museum. It was a happy coincidence, he and Roag were very kind to everyone. Bumped into Roag again at the Echo Arena, really nice guy.

Set list looks great ! Medleying queenie eye and lady Madonna etc ... a guy on Facebook says he was there last night , and the 2015 Liverpool gig . He said his voice sounded much better last night !
-
Can’t wait for Glasgow tomorrow !

So last night was UNREAL, what a day at the soundcheck and the gig...AND...he read my sign out!
If anyone has any footage or photos of a lad (me) looking in shock with a sign that says "Go 'Ed Macca' send them my way, it was all a bit of a blur! Haha

Slightly weird that the horn section first appeared (during Letting Go which was fantastic btw) about halfway up the arena on some stairs in the side section. Took me by surprise. They were just along from me and I’m pretty sure their instruments weren’t live at that point
