Quiet? There’s been more activity on this thread (and all the others) since this new board was created! Lol!
when I wrote this , the single had been out a week and there had hardly been any posts .

This whole site is relatively quiet really, especially for someone of Paul's stature. On his Facebook page this afternoon, a post made 3 hours ago has already attracted 2,300 comments. It would take a year to get that many posts here.

Coloured vinyl version now showing as "sorry, sold out" here in the UK. Black vinyl version not due for release till 5th October. Ordered the HMV exclusive version.

Can’t you order it from Paul’s site? See my post right before yours.

This is where a friend of mine ordered it, but is much more expensive!

I agree it's been quiet. I posted what may be part of Fuh You & not one comment on it. oh well...

It was way too short - 10 seconds! - to even form an opinion on it. (Were you talking about what you posted 2 hours ago? I think some already posted Paul’s tweet of the snippet)

Yes, I posted it two times. Agree that it s VERY short but it'll be out this week so we will have more of it!
What I posted now 3 hours ago is from the producer. And he's all jacked up about it. Hope it is great!
edit to add that I think I posted it a couple of days ago too.

These apparently are the twenty-four songs and instrumentals recorded for the 'Egypt Station' project. Sixteen are for the standard album, eighteen for the deluxe edition and time will tell what will become of the remaining six recordings.
Opening Station / I Don't Know / Come On To Me / Happy With You / Fuh You / Who Cares / Windy Hill / Confidente / Quarters / Waking Up Slow / Back In Brazil / Hand In Hand / Dominoes (Light That Way) / Despite Repeated Warnings / People Want Peace / Closing Station / Do It Now / Hunt You Down / The Church We Never Went / Caesar Rock / Night Party / Old Bridges / Naked / C-Link.

From the little snippet of "Fuh You" I heard, it's gonna be wild, sounds wild and zingy

Not a rave but pretty good. The big surprise to me was his comment about his voice on "Who Cares", I did not think he had it in him. The only real negative I have noticed IMO is that there appears to be several songs where he repeats the same lyric/chant often. Looking forward to hearing it in September .

Now it says the colored vinyl will be exclusive to the website...I preordered my copy from my local brick and mortor independent record store. Their computer has 2 different ones but doesn't say it's colored. I ordered the $39.99 version so surely it will be the colored version, right?
Which brick and mortar store? Amazon has it for $31.57, but the photo shows black vinyl. My friend ordered the color vinyl from somewhere online and I sent her an email asking where. Paul’s site has it for $39.98:
I would say for $39.99 it had better be the colored vinyl. Paul’s site has black vinyl for $34 and change.
ETA: Amazon has the deluxe vinyl for $36.09 which doesn’t show the colored discs, but that has to be it. Amazon has the best price and you will get free shipping since it’s over $35.
The store is called Compact Discovery...I think they might be a couple more stores somewhere in here in TN but I don't think it is a chain. Yeah it's a little more expensive but that guy has been good to me, special ordering many albums in the 22 years I've been buying off him.

Okay, found out the scoop from my friend. Neither of the Amazon ones are colored vinyl!
She wrote me this:
Cheaper one says-
140g Double Vinyl, single jacket with 16 tracks (14 songs + 2 instrumentals).
More expensive one says-
180g Double Vinyl, unique tri-gatefold packaging with 16 tracks (14 songs + 2 instrumentals).
The vinyl weight and packaging is just different. Not taking a chance on this and I think I’m right because Amazon hasn’t been offering the color vinyls.
Thanks anyway, I would certainly like to save some $ where I can. I do try to research this stuff carefully.
Paul has so many versions of these albums I get confused.
This is where she ordered the colored vinyl ones from:

I know, a lot more expensive, but she has had problems with Paul’s site before and refuses to order from them.
I think that the colored vinyl is only available from his site or this udiscovermusic.com which is out of the U.K. I don’t think you can get it anywhere in the U.S., but I could be wrong.

It IS an excerpt of Fuh You, originally tweeted by Paul's own Twitter account. But very brief and doesn't really sound like it's a main part of the song. But it's intriguing nonetheless.

Interestingly, havinging dropped to about #40 on the Amazon CD/vinyl best sellers list, "Egypt" is now back up to #21. I imagine we're about to see the publicity start cranking up more seriously after Carpool Karaoke airs in the U.S. next Monday, with more TV appearances and surprise concerts.

Thanks for clarifying Nancy. 3 vinyl versions (double album, double album black vinyl with deluxe packaging and extra tracks and same but on coloured vinyl) and 2 CD versions (standard and deluxe/extra tracks). Coloured vinyl only available via his website or udiscover - both now sold out on both of them.

Just went to order the deluxe coloured vinyl and cannot believe the U.K. site says "sorry sold out" especially as it is not even released for another three weeks. I came across this a while back when I went to order another PM Coloured Vinyl and was lucky enough to get a copy at a slightly inflated price off eBay only to discover a few weeks later that the uDiscovermusic site suddenly had more copies available.
I do not particularly like the two discs into one sleeve idea as the main holding sleeve never seems to be sturdy enough compared with a gatefold sleeve. This "Sold Out" is really annoying and I would have thought PM would have ensured his record label produced enough copies to at least cover demand for a few weeks after release, thus avoiding fans having to pay rip off prices via eBay. It seems the music industry is trying to stampdown on higher concert ticket resale prices - maybe they should have a look at things like this as it is obvious that people who are putting these records on eBay within a day of release are doing it to make a quick buck and stopping genuine fans from buying.
