Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
-
Having gone to opening night of the US Tour in 2005 spoiled the hell out of me. Surprise after surprise after surprise.
-
Yeah - Out There tour 2013 was amazing for breakouts too.
-
The only thing I'll say in defense of the set, is that there are 10 songs on there that have NEVER been played in Quebec. That's a fair result for someone local that goes everytime...and in my opinion, those are the folks that matter most. Not the repeat offenders like us.
That being said, "From Me To You" is the only bone really thrown to the long-term repeat offenders...and it sounded damn rough at Grand Central.

2010 was pretty great, too.

The fan in me wants to say he’ll change the setlist up a bit before he comes to the U.S. next year. The realist in me knows it’ll probably be the same..except for possibly a song or two.
I miss the earlier tours when the band would suggest songs for the setlist.

His voice sounds decent on Let em In. Like the horns

Not to be a jerk, but nearly everything from Grand Central sounded rough.

My biggest complaint is that Confindante is not on the set (it was on Abbey Road show)
Only 3 songs from Egypt Station.

Yeah, wow, he really hasn't put much effort in changing his setlist. I guess the brass will be cool. Surprised he isn't playing 'Jet' with the horns. Hopefully he uses them on 'Band on the Run'.
Whoever named this tour Freshen Up should be shot. It’s not even (if set list posted is true) as unique as his pervious tour changes, which were more numerous. It’s like they trolled us.
hahahaha! To the part about being shot. Really? To the trolling.

The UK press is going to rip him to shreads over this "Freshen Up" he's advertising...

I’m gonna say that setlist is legit with that being from a reporter in Quebec.
lots of a disappointment there.
LOTS.
This place sure needs a like button.

Maybe the show is called Freshen Up, because it's a big 'F.U.' to all of us.

The only thing that made me smile reading this thread.

It’s an expression, not literal.

I get it. You didn't get my message. The really (to Paul) goes with the trolling.

I mentioned this in the rehearsal thread, but there was little time to rehearse 10-12 new songs. Macca showed up what, a week to ten days to rehearse? He's obviously NOT singing evreday either during those rehearsals, I woukd imagine. Gotta save the voice a bit. Thats a relativley short time for a major overhaul to a setlist. The Stones generaly spend 3 or so weeks reharsing(longer during their world tours), do a club show or 2 to warm up and hit the road.
BTW, what was the soundcheck setlist?

He only plays London 3 times a decade, other select UK cities 2 times a decade, so everything is new to them anyway lol. About 15 songs different to the last show there.
