Nick Cordero, 41, Broadway actor. From Covid-19. So sad.
So sad... He went through probably the worst case of Covid-19 that I've heard about, and he fought so valiantly. This disease is horrendous, lung transplants, kidney dialysis, liver problems, clotting. Very sad for his family.

Co-founder of Fleetwood Mac has died aged 73. Writer of great early hits such as Oh well, Green Manalishi, Black magic woman, UK number one Albatross and the beautiful Man of the world. One of the greatest blues guitarists the UK has produced, he suffered mental illness for many years and made a successful comeback with his Splinter Group.

So sad to hear of Peter Green's passing. He was so talented and it's so sad for all his ups and downs in life. Really enjoyed early Fleetwood Mac, it's style and all it offered in those early days. Rest In Peace.

They did have a very, very nice soothing sound--"I remember that place in North Carolina, and a strange, strange pond"

"It feels like a dream...you got me hypnotized"--that's the song from which I quoted the line about a "strange pond" in North Carolina (from an early Fleetwood Mac song)

0livia deHavilland, Academy award winning actress, and last surviving cast member of "Gone with the Wind," has passed away from natural causes at the age of 104.
When I was 15 and first saw Gone with the Wind, it was the character of Scarlett that I liked, I thought there was a little bit of Scarlett in all of us girls! But 0livia deHavilland as Melanie was the ultimate example of a kind lady, with unconditional love for everyone around her. Even though her character was considered by some to be weak, I think she was just the opposite. She will be missed!
A friend of mine interviewed her in 1997, and said 0DeH was very classy, and definitely a lady, but loved to play poker with gentleman friends every week, and wasn't afraid to have a bourbon on the rocks and let out a swear word or two occasionally, and that she could be very tough, especially when it came to politics and freedom of artistic expression.
She took Warner Brothers to court in 1943 because they held her to her contract with them after it expired, and tried to blacklist her when she fought them. The courts voted in her favor, and the De Havilland Law now protects other actors and entertainers.

Hypnotized was a Bob Welsh song, a fav of mine. Some others are Sentimental Lady, Ebony Eyes, Precious Love. Had to get Hypnotized under Bob Welsh not Fleetwood Mac on iTunes.

Her sister Joan Fountain died in 2013. They were long lived and both excellent actresses. Nothing wrong with a classy lady playing a little poker now and then !

This seems like a particularly brutal year for deaths.
