^ Why is George holding John’s guitar? What happened to his Gretsch? Lol!

Wasn't there an incident in the mid 1960s of one of George's guitars getting stolen right before a television appearance, or a concert? Seems like I remember hearing someone was supposed to watch his guitar while he was away for a few minutes, and it was gone when he got back... (or was that story about Paul's guitar instead?)
Anyway, maybe George's guitar was unavailable, due to being stolen... or it was being repaired or re-strung or something, so the photographer had him hold John's for the photo.
And didn't George also have a guitar go missing at Shea stadium? Or maybe the story was that the guitar he used at Shea was later stolen...

I don’t remember one of George’s being stolen, unless it was the Gibson acoustic/electric (which turned out to be John’s actually because at some point they switched them accidentally) Paul’s 1961 Hofner disappeared after he used it in the rooftop concert.

ok, thanks! Forgot about the Hofner disappearing after the rooftop concert. Seems like there is another story though of a Beatles guitar being stolen, in the earlier days, before Shea. Will have to do some checking.

Beatle Fun Kit (Special Issue of Dig magazine, 1964)... am curious to see what the "Beatle Money" looked like, lol
-
Found an image of what the Beatle money looked like Since The Beatles were from Britain, probably would have been better to issue the play money in British pounds instead, lol.
Kind of small to see here, but on each piece of play money is written:
"This certifies that there is on deposit in the Treasury of the United States of Beatlemania a Treasure Named Paul McCartney [or one of the other Beatles names]. This Certificate is Illegal Tender for all debts, public and private. Or else. Issued in 1964 Against Our Better Judgment" and under each money's serial number is "Your [should be 'you're', lol] nuts if you think this is real money. What do you think we are, rich?"

In videos and photographs from the Beatles era, Paul always seemed like the one who was most interested in reading newspapers and magazines that featured stories about them. He probably liked to keep up to date on popular opinion and what was being written, etc.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. Love the caption “Delicious Insanity...Where Will It End?”
Answer: NEVER!
