I thought that John never wore his glasses in the beginning?
Wondering what is that coming out of the end of that recorder? Is it some kind of reed or what?
Without his wire-rim glasses he wore from the fall of 1966 and on until whenever. P.S. In the "early days" when not performing on stage, John was frequently photographed with his "Buddy Holly" glasses. Then he wore contacts for a while in 1965/1966.
That is something on the floor I think or a flaw in the photo. It's an optical illusion that it's coming out of the end of the recorder. (can you zoom in?)

That's a great photo of George and Paul, taken by Linda on Tuesday 8th October.
Although the Beatles were also recording I'm So Tired and The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill, that photo almost definitely is showing George and Paul working on Long Long Long, the song that began that days sessions.

There should be a red #1 over the little envelope at the top right.

Aug. 21, 1966 Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO. Rained like crazy and they nearly got electrocuted!

There use to be but I don't get that red indicator anymore.

I usually do, but didn't today when you wrote to me. I check every time I log in, just to be sure!

Funny how everyone but Paul looks like a future version of themselves!

The Beatles meet representatives from the Camp Fire Girls at a press conference prior to their concert in Kansas City on September 17, 1964. At that time Kansas City was the national headquarters for the Camp Fire Girls.
John looks tired and bored, they all were tired and exhausted having arrived at 1:15 am earlier that day, but at least they tried to do their best with these meet and greets!

^ I was 9 then and would have given just about anything to have been that close to them, especially Paul of course!

That was the photoshoot when Ringo was taken ill and was temporarily replaced by Jimmy Nicol for a couple of weeks.

Yep!
Oh, and just found out the correct date and place of that other pic (not Scotland) was Oct. 11, 1963 at Trentham Gardens, Trentham, England. Guy posted a link to entire article about that night with photos. Unfortunately unable to copy link.

June 29, 1967 from that photoshoot at John's home. Never saw this one before.

Yesterday, Aug. 23rd, in 1966, the Beatles played Shea Stadium for the 2nd time. Even though there were 11,000 fewer fans there and so many empty seats, they still made more money in that 30 minutes onstage than in 1965.

Oct. 30, 1963 Odeon Cinema, Manchester. George playing a borrowed Maton MS 500 as his Gretsch was being repaired.
