Rehearsals !!

I would be willing to bet good money he WON'T do Martha My Dear for two reasons: the piano is very difficult and the song gets very high which he could never pull off at 80. The time for him to do that song was anywhere from the '70s to 1993. So many missed opportunities for him to perform some of his classics (Oh! Darling, What You're Doing, Tomorrow, etc.) but now there's no way he could hit the high notes and do them justice!

Hoping for either I Want To Hold Your Hand or Find My Way for the opener. Interesting that his team keeps posting requests for dream set list, wonder if that really means anything. Voice issues notwithstanding, would love to see even a brief reappearance of the Ric and Silly Love Songs. Oh, and hoping he ditches that awful unshaven chin whiskers look for the tour. Classic Paul please!

Sadly, I think this is true. I could imagine him taking the plunge on the tricky piano parts but he couldn't pull off the high notes now.

Edibles have their drawbacks. But you can vape natural cannabis flower and it's much less harmful for your throat and lungs than smoking. Hopefully if Paul is indulging in any, uh, herbs, he's doing it in a way that's not going to hurt his voice. He needs all he's got left.
What are the drawbacks of edibles?
On the voice, absolutely nothing. If you ingest too much, though, it could be an uncomfortable delirious experience.
Sorry, I missed this somehow. But edibles take much longer to work than inhaling, last longer, and can be rather unpredictable in their effect at least until you get used to how your body processes them -- it's a whole different biochemical process. This is why most medical marijuana patients never thought the prescription THC capsule, sold under the brand name Marinol, was a viable alternative -- it's just harder to control the dose and timing. Edibles have their place, but aren't for everyone.

From your lips...I hate his unshaven look!!

I have just three hopes for the tour:
1. That the time off has done his voice some good, it was really rough from about 2016 onward.
2. An interesting opener. It doesn't have to be that ambitious, just not AHDN, EDAW, Hello Goodbye, Magical Mystery Tour, or Drive My Car.
3. Yesterday

3. Yesterday
1. From the sound of his voice singing "Get Back" at "Rock And Roll HOF" induction a few months ago, it got worse not better. Hopefully that was only one song and maybe he needed to be more warmed up.
2. I think we can be pretty sure there will be different opener, would not be shocked if it is "Get Back" or "I Want To Hold Your Hand". I would be incredibly shocked and happy if it was "Find My Way" (in my dreams -lol)
3. He stopped doing it because he sounded awful singing it, I don't think we will hear it again.

You said exactly what I was going to say. No amount of "rest" is going to improve his voice, is the only thing I would add.

I mind hearing a recording of him playing it in 1969 & even then he couldn't quite do it. It's definitely his hardest song to learn on the piano, it's the only of his so far that I had to give up trying to learn as I just couldn't do it haha

From looking at the rehearsal clip, it seems as though the set design has a similar look to the one used in 2018/2019 with the rising platform. So its a pretty safe bet that 'Blackbird' will be kept in the show.

I'm betting on a continuation of Out There/One On One/Freshen Up + a bit of McCartney III + a couple of "new" songs.

Yeah, looking at both Elton and The Who picking up their prior tours virtually unchanged, I'd be surprised if we got a major shakeup. He's been iterating on the same set since 2008 anyway.

Good lord! Listening to Paul sing, his voice is cracking during the Get Back chorus towards the end of the vid. Not good

He was pretty bad when he sang this song with Foo Fighters when he inducted them into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I had hoped that was just one of those days and maybe he just did not have time to warm his voice up. We will see.

Agree that his voice at the Foos performance was not good, I also assumed that part of the reason was that he was not warmed up. But not the entire reason. I was wondering if he was going to tweak or maybe even remove the acoustic set this year, but seeing that the platform is there with the Blackbird graphic, I guess not.

I don't have high expectations for his voice at his age now. I am hoping that he does not sound too bad and get "roasted" by the critics. I think he will be ok with the mid-tempo short Beatle songs and recent "McCartney III" and certain "Egypt Station" songs. It could be brutal hearing him if he tries "Maybe I'm Amazed" and songs where he may have to try and hit some higher notes. The good thing is I think the band will help him vocally, especially Abe. In addition, I am pretty certain the crowd will sing along with him to most songs and will not really care how good he is vocally -lol. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
