I was still in hospital on that date having had my appendix removed a few days earlier. Looking back it seems a very long time ago now.

I was in my first year of Junior High (7th grade) and myself and another kid were the only ones wearing wire-rimmed glasses but soon everyone who needed glasses wore them! (mine were rectangle shaped, not round)

I don't think they were wire but I believe the Beatles were wearing rectangular shaped glasses a year earlier? I think there is a photo of them wearing these glasses on the rear cover of the Oldies But Goldies compilation lp.

They were wearing wire-rimmed colored glasses on the back cover of Revolver. I don't have the Oldies LP. ("Don't cane me, sir, I was led astray!")

Only George had colored wire-rims on the back cover of the Oldies LP.

Thanks for that. I think I must have been combining the two rear covers.

Artwork just completed on the side of The Empress pub (Admiral Grove in the Dingle where Ringo & his mum live at #10 - she worked at the pub) And the pub was used on the cover of his album Sentimental Journey.

My first Beatles t-shirt from 1964 when I was still 8. It is so small - only measures 16" from neck to bottom! Someone I know found matching print on a small zipper purse and a button on etsy.

Never saw this before - birth of daughter Lee. Google won't load, but I think she was born Nov. 1, 1970 IIRC.
