My parents had told me they were installing the seats. Then they asked if I was coming! So, the secret is out
Did they really have to ask
-
That is what I thought, too, Seuss! Apparently, my cousins hadn't told them and, yes, they asked and I said, of course. They asked where I was staying and I said with you, of course! Then they asked how I was getting to the concert and I said my cousins and then they said okay. I haven't told them about the others yet. I will tell them just before I leave town. That way I don't have to listen to them too long. I thought my sister would have told them, but she didn't either.

**bump** pheww I thought we had lost it for a minute

STILL haven't recieved my tix yet.I called them 3 weeks ago, they said they had been printed, and to wait a bit longer. So I did.Called yesterday, they said the tix were in will call at the arena. Why didn't they tell me that before?I gave them the confirmation #s both times...Arrgh!So they said they could cancel those and send me out new ones, and it'll take 2-3 weeks...Didn't I pay for shipping and handeling the first time? Starting to make ticketmaster look better all the time.Of course the website that first day was a joke!NO WAY they sold 80% of the seats on-line like they said, just no way, not as confusing as that was...did everyone else get those cheap looking pink tickets also? Why can't they make more attractive tickets?

Oh my - I can't blame you for being ticked! And I agree - not that many people (me included) whizzed through that ordering system in the first few minutes (took me more like 15 - an eternity when ordering tickets on-line to an event of this magnitude)! Yes, I got the cheesy pink tickets but mine came in a timely manner. I'm just hoping the arena is as nice as everyone says it will be

I would be totally ticked if I hadn't received my tickets--about as ticked as I was with their stupid website that I couldn't figure out for a long time--not until I got through to someone on the phone to tell me how to do it. I wish they would use Ticket Monster, too. I do hope the arena will be as beautiful as it is supposed to be. It sure has messed up traffic long enough with the building.

Hi everyone - I'm obviously new, but after catching up on the previous posts, I just had to agree with the general consensus on the Event Center's website. I didn't realize the Des Moines show wouldn't be available through Ticketmaster until it was too late (sigh, and duh), but exploring the site later, I was appalled at the poor navigation. If you could call it that.
-
Well,it figures that the ticket people said that they would send my tickets to me,and to look for them in two weeks.I recieved them in two days...I think if they don't have an answer that they just make something up....Anyhow,I'm good to go now, with all 5 tickets in hand.If I didn't enjoy summer weather so much I'd say,c'mon October, hurry up! ....
-
I'm glad you finally got your tickets and we can all enjoy the rest of the summer. That must be a big relief off your mind. Navigation of that site was the most horrendous I have ever seen. It is a little better now, but it still could use a lot of improvement.

I received an email today that the grand opening of the Wells Fargo Center is July 12. Anyone in Iowa going? Are they going to let you inside?

I got something, too. I don't plan to go. I know that Tom Petty is playing there that night - the inaugural show. I did hear that they'd be doing tours but not sure if this is when or not
-
Still Looking for 1 Ticket To the Des Moines Show, or Omaha or St. Paul shows....thanks all
-
If I wasn't going, I'd sell you mine.

If I was in the area, I'd go, just to take pictures of the stage from my seat, or vise versa like I did at the ACC in Toronto. Also to check out the dressing room and perhaps use the facilities.

I was actually wrong - Tom Petty isn't there until July 18 which is the first actual show. The arena is about an hour away from me plus it's a weekday so I doubt I'll make a trip down just to scope it out - if I was closer I would - it would be cool to see where my seats are
-
If I was in Iowa, I would definitely go scope it out, even an hour away. We went an hour to see the ACC in Toronto and had to pay to see it.

Guess I'd rather use my vacation days for something else. Now if PAUL was doing the tour of the facility, I might seriously consider it Even though it would be fun to see where my seats are - if I'm not happy with them, I can't change that - so I'll just wait and be (hopefully pleasantly) surprised on 10/27

Just thought I'd jump in this conversation and show you guys the t-shirt I just made for the concert. My 4 year old son drew the person, so I thought I'd turn it into a McCartney Tour T-Shirt. What'cha think? I put it on a light blue t-shirt.
-
That's great!!! I think Paul would appreciate the artistic element
