Great article (3 short pages and worth the read) http://www.rockcellarmagazine.com/2015/01/06/behind-the-curtain-george-harrison/?utm_source=January+2015+Issue+Email&utm_campaign=September+Issue+Email+9.5.14&utm_medium=email#sthash.s756mmi3.yUGOSz1Q.dpbs

Not a great article. The author is being a big shit about it, due to insecurity issues perhaps. If he had behaved himself politely, things would have been Much Nicer, but he admits that his adrenaline was pumped, and obviously, He Was Going to Be The Man Who Interviews George Harrison. I'll tell you. I walked into that same Home Office building in 1977 as A Manpower Temp Worker Flunkie, delivering a VHS cassette dupe of Rod Stewart's "Hot Legs" that was going to be aired that Friday night on NBC's Midnight Special. I was working Temp at Image Transform on Lankershim Blvd. N. Hollywood, the video correction house that processed the "Hot Legs" dupe. NOBODY knew me at the Home Office. Nobody knew what my business was. When I walked through the front door, Everybody stood up and said, "Hi!. How Are You?"... Now That is Surreal! I smiled and quietly stated, "Hi. I am here to deliver the Rod Stewart "Hot Legs" video. In hindsight and to whom, I can't remember. One of the exes. But I knew my business at the time. And I call B.S., though it may be a lapse of memory on the author's part. He claims that the interview was at the Home Office in '74. But he refers to Dr. Lector, meaning that the article was written after '91. However, Dark Horse Records was not distributed by Warner Reprise in '74. In 1974, Dark Horse Records was distributed by A&M Records out of the old Chaplin Studio building in Hollywood. I once delivered a video of Framton's "I'm in You" to the A&M studio. But Maaaybe George conducted his interview at Warners in 1974? Dark Horse Records moved distribution to Warner Reprise in 1976. I know this for a fact because I worked temp in the demo dept. on Vanowen St. N. Hollywood the same year that Dark Horse moved to Warner Reprise, though I never set foot inside The Home Office. They were several miles away, on Warner Blvd. off of Olive Ave. and they didn't know me by my face. I once had a 33 1/3 vinyl recording of an interview with Harrison conducted by Tom Campbell which was a DHR pro release for radio stations. They had leftovers and so, instead of destroying them, we were allowed to take one home. We were also treated to a viewing of the "Sue Me, Sue You Blues" film short at the main studio, along with a Fleetwood Mac short about their self-titled release. But I also shipped "Rumours". This is the Wikipedia page for DHR: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Horse_Records And this is the Google Maps Street View (should be) of the Warner Reprise Home Office. In the 1970's it was not dark-stained. It had a natural light walnut exterior back then: https://goo.gl/maps/yrPTD Who knows? Maybe the receptionist was a Temp?

At that time, in 1976, the CEO of Warner Reprise Records was Mo Ostin, and the other employees pointed out that Mo was known to step out for a toke of pot in the parking lot, so maybe he passed it around?

He is witty, though I think he overreached with respect to the receptionist, and that questionable date of the interview. But who knows?????? I'm thinking he was perhaps one of oh, maybe 500+ Gonzo-Macho visitors that day. The "interview" reads more like a large press conference in a room full of gonzo-macho reporters, many of whom were free-lance. He did admit that the receptionist combed through 9 pages of names before she could find his name, the one which starts with an "R". That would be quite a few gonzo-macho freelance reporters! So, she was perhaps weary of all that "sugar". Else he made the whole thing up...

He says he doesnt remember if he asked George a question. Huh? I'm pretty sure you would remember if your question was being heard & answered by a Beatle.

I know! I thought the same thing. Aside note: Had a dream this morning that I met George (he looked circa 196 It was so clear and real!

George popped up yet again in a recent dream of mine, too, Nancy R. Paul, George and I were at Paul's farm in Scotland outside looking at his farm animals. (Paul was running around shirtless in tight black pants and was barefoot, looked quite fetching!) We went in and I offered to make coffee or tea. Then that redhead (Jane A.) barged in, and usurped me in the cozy familiarity with Paul moment. (!) Funny, I had another Paul and George dream a few years back in which we all three danced and partied, had a lot of fun. (Wish real life were more like that!) I recall another George dream of mine where he was a pied piper leading people through a lovely lush forest while he sang and strummed his guitar. It was so nice to see him alive again.
