They were the $1500 tickets ... I think they were called VIP Gold (N.B. my correction: they were actually the Hot Sound Package). We were 4th row dead center stage right in front of Macca where he sang on stage.

The VIP swag: Out There/Paul McCartney CheckMate backpack by Leeds. Out There/Paul McCartney guitar pick handed out by Shelley. Out There 58-page tour book/program. Paul McCartney black beverage flask. Out There 2014/Paul McCartney laminate on necklace. I still have my untorn original concert ticket as they just scanned it which was nice. I also grabbed a couple handfuls of the red, white, and blue confetti that rained down at the end of the show.
You had the VIP Gold package and this is what they gave you?! That's a lot of stuff!!

Just go by price. The soundcheck pkg is $1500.00.

@oobu24 Yes the food was pretty good. I'm a bit of a foodie so it certainly was not the Four Seasons, but it was fairly decent. We were told that their chef on premises prepared it. I was able to get as many beers as I wanted which I enjoyed Nancy mentioned a limit of two at her last show so I was pleasantly surprised. The room we are it should have been larger though--it was a bit crowded for my taste.

My tenth full-length show and each one continues to be a pleasure, even with the familiarity of certain songs and spoken bits. I enjoyed the addition of the five NEW songs, especially thought Save Me and Everybody Out There were well done. He seemed to jam longer on a few of the older songs (though the The End solo battle seemed short). My 13-year-oldson (second show) was blown away by it all, and my 19-year-old daughter (fifth show) equally so (though like me she can now spot the flubs and predict the moments). Given how sick we all feared he was, it was an especially rigorous performance and he continues to amaze.

It really was a great show last night. May try to hit another one in this tour, but I have a lot of shows to see and traveling to do, so we'll see... A couple more pics from last night's show... http://instagram.com/p/qH7YqGnr1l/ http://instagram.com/p/qH641unr0l/ http://instagram.com/p/qH6ooRHr0N/

Review in Rolling Stone: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/paul-mccartney-bounces-back-in-albany-20140706 I can only add to the review that Paul took off with electrifying energy through every song and the crowd did not stop roaring its approval during the entire show. A night of sheer joy and love for Paul and the audience!
Awesome. Thanks for posting that!

We were gonna go there for drinks but the bar was closed by the time we wanted to head over there. Were they staying there? Did you get to hang out with them?? We went to Jack's before the show and heard that some of the band had been there the last couple of days.

Mark, Man you got some great pics! I remember seeing you and your friends there at soundcheck--didn't know really who was from this board. I only had my iPhone so my pics are not that great. I have a larger Nikon with fixed lens which I should have brought but someone here posted about security giving them a hard time with a similar camera so I thought not to bring it

I still can't believe it. I haven't made it on here since the concert last night, but the couple that got engaged on stage last night, "John" was my high school English teacher! I couldn't believe it! When he started singing when i'm 64, it was priceless! That is so him! He was also our class advisor for senior year. My class went into our senior year so poor, he used to pick on us while he urged us during fundraisers. He told us we would have a paperback yearbook. He even went so far as to rewrite paperback writer lyrics to "paperback yearbook". We came out ok & printed his lyrics in our hard cover yearbook! He was a great Beatles influence on me!
