Last night on Steve Harvey's New... Little Big Shots show, there was an 8 year old Latino young man who said that The Beatles were his favorite band! He went on to sing Blackbird and play it on the guitar. It was beautiful!!
OMG, I will have to look for that online! My friend had work told me his (nearly) 3 year old son likes The Beatles!
You can watch the latest episode here. It is a funny show. The kids are incredibly talented!!! http://www.nbc.com/little-big-shots

Way ahead of you! I have the NBC App on my iPad and already pulled it up to watch.

Watched it! Considering he doesn't speak English and is only 8 years old, he did a fantastic job with Blackbird!

Yes, he did. We watched it last night and we were very impressed with the young man. He also looked like a miniature Paul. Also considering he does not speak English, he did a great job.

Ha! Tonight on Lucifer (5/1) the lead singer of a band is murdered and they suspect Marla, the bass player. Lucifer says "Perhaps Marla didn't want to be the 5th Beatle."
-
The Simpsons Sunday night: Mr. Smithers old boarding school chum shows up (voiced by Michael Caine) He is at Mo's telling a story (all we hear is the end) "...and everyone left the hot tub except for Ringo, Princess Margaret, and me." He decides to set Mo up in a new establishment. It's called MOHO House and they have a big opening. Seen waiting in line to get in is Elton John and Paul McCartney. Later, Paul is also seen inside the party.

Man With A Plan 5/15 The wife wants another baby (their 4th kid) The husband, referring to their family, says "I think we're perfect! We don't need some Yoko Ono coming in and ruining the band!" Jimmy Kimmel 5/15 Introduced professional basketball player Paul George as "Half of the Beatles."

On Last Week Tonight With John Oliver last night, he was talking about how every decision in Trump's administration is the worst possible one. Paper or plastic? Whichever one kills the most birds. Favorite Beatle? It's got to be Yoko!

"What's That Beatle Song? Rocky?...Rocky Raccoon?" on Bear Grylls last night while they were in the remote Colorado Rockies. http://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/television/gail-pennington/st-louisan-runs-wild-with-bear-grylls/article_521ec56d-175b-5e6f-91e4-ff4591ce8423.html

On The Flash 5/23, the whole gang is at a funeral and in the eulogy, one character says she heard a story about John Lennon when he was 5 years old and the teacher asked the class "What do you want to be when you grow up?" John wrote "Happy" and the teacher said "You didn't understand the assignment." To which John replied "You don't understand life." I had heard that story before. Coincidentally one of my Beatle friends had also watched it and emailed me (she had not heard it before) What a genius already at age 5!

That's odd since the song takes place in South Dakota!

Actually, it was said after they had found a frozen raccoon carcass and were getting ready to eat it. The black minin' hills of Dakota are not the only place that has raccoons.

Let's not start this "feud" again. You know I will always believe Paul says "Black mountain hills" like the lyrics that are printed on the poster that came with the album! http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/beatles/rockyraccoon.html

It's just one of those occasional glitches of the long and winding road. Anyway... Antiques Roadshow last night had a man (missed his name) who had a large photograph of his father with the Beatles. It had something to do with the beginning of Apple Records. There was something signed by Paul and 4 original 45rpm records, one of which was Mary Hopkins with Those Were The Days. All things together it was appraised at $60,000 U.S. The guy's mouth dropped open.

Salma Hayek to Jimmy Fallon as they were getting up to do a happy dance. "Like The Beatle song says...Take a sad song and make it better"

The Jason Sudeikis movie Sleeping With Other People has an R-rated long monologue that he does directed at a girl he meets in college who wants to lose her virginity to her TA (teacher's assistant) It was really funny, but I will give you the PG-13 version. Lainey, you having sex with Matthew Sobvechik is basically the same thing as me telling an Aborigine in the Australian outback that he's about to listen to the Beatles for the first time, and then I play him Blues Traveler. That's a cruel joke, for I will have just tricked him into thinking Blues Traveler is the greatest band of all time. Okay, now if you were to sleep with Matthew Sobvechik you'd be addicted to mediocrity the rest of your life. And that barely covered v_____ of yours deserves better than that! It doesn't deserve John Popper, it deserves John Lennon, okay? You understand me? I'm talking about "The White Album" not "Hook!"
-
Hook is a pretty good song.
-
In the 2015 documentary, Brand: A Second Coming, a kid in a crowd near Russell Brand yells "The next John Lennon!" (Brand's latest book is called Revolution) John's song Power To The People is played over the credits.

Finally watched Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. Stella McCartney is in it quite a bit. The funniest part was this exchange: Patsy: "Stella, darling, hi sweetheart! Is your father with you? Is little Paulie with you?" Stella: "No." Patsy: "Oh, that's a shame. I was hoping to have a little catch-up with him. Haven't seen him since 1969, sweetheart, you know what I mean?" (As she wiggles her tongue suggestively) Stella: "Oh God, and the world blamed Yoko!"

Steve Harvey used the line last night..."Life is what's happening to us while we're busy making other plans"
