yeah at least i tried. ...as a matter of fact, if i was on the computer during the auction i would have up'd my george harrison autograph...a signed check...it only went for $800...i already have a signed check by George...and i paid about $850...i believe i only bid up to $700 for this item because i bid on a few others.. .and if i would have won all three...i would have had to use plastic to pay for it! ...i also bid on an abbey road gold record...i believe it went for $1,100. ...i didn't go that high! aren't you glad you have a few gold records to your collection before the prices became outrageous??

yer Jo the picture I posted on here is the latest addition to my collection, however as you know I arranged a deal with Chritie's auction hpuse in London, this was one of there unsold lots from there April auction. So what I thought I was buying was a page from an autograph book signed in the hand of George Harrison. However what I got was the entire autograph book that included a page signed by George along with a few more unidentified signatures All at a bargain price of course

((Jo)) yes I am glad, I have my few gold records, I bet your autographs will sky rocket in the next few years. and also your jacket worn by Pau would go for a quite a lot if you put it in an auction (which I know you wouldn't). It's amazing some of the prices for some Beatles things.

yes, collecting Beatles memorabilia is the greatest thing...and like you said, the value will only go up up up!!! ...especially autographs!!! ...and i am so glad about your gold records cuz the value of those will always go up!!! now with respect to Paul's jacket....i can't imagine what i could get for it if i decided to sell it at christie's, sotheby's or itsonlyrocknroll. ...but right now, as predicted, i will hold on to my jacket!

All of my personally taken Beatles photos are in special photo albums. I've never removed them. I also have a clear pitcher that once was Cynthia Lennon's.

thanks (((thomas))) ...i gotta check it out! hey i just noticed that a jacket worn by John Lennon went for $27,500 at the Beatles memorabilia auction at the mirage! ...i wonder what my jacket personally worn by Paul would have gone for??? ...but like i said, i have no plans on selling it!!!
-
Beatlemanic: don't know how they'd come through the scanner I have every single one in protective, acid-free plastic coverings. I also have quite a few in frames that have never been removed from the frames either.
-
that's OK gypsygirl! ...isn't it great to collect! ... i just added more Love/festforbeatlesfans/across the universe memorabilia to my collection that i got from (((kayzee))) here on Paul's board....THANK YOU AGAIN KAY.

It just floors me sometimes at the prices things go for at auction. Some people must be quite wealthy to buy the stuff or are paying off plastic for a great many years. Or selling their first born child! Various Beatles Memorabilia that I own from many moons ago, I could no way afford to buy at today's prices. And when you have kids who have decided to follow in your footsteps & they start collecting their own Beatles memorabilia & ask, "Why don't you buy that for MY BEATLES COLLECTION?", they seem to think it's a matter of charging it if you don't have the cash!

Oh well, I don't normaly post pictures until I get the item but fo rsome strange reason I'm quite excited about this one, must be because I itend to keep this one in my collection and not sell it on Oh well enjoy Click for a bigger pic

I guess this starts my autograph collection. Last week I picked up the framed pictures I ordered from B Bernstein's exhibition, they are hand signed by Paul McCartney and Bill Bernstein. I ordered 2. One is magic piano which is Paul sitting at his piano playing, with the Roman colliseum in the backround, and the other is a collage. They came out great!!
-
Come on then let's see
-
Riggers: That's the album cover! Very nice. B&N has about 8 different Beatles books (mostly hardcover) marked done in their bargain area. A few I've never seen before.
