Barbara Walters/American Scandals/John Lennon
-
Tonight on ID (Investigation Discovery) which is channel 285 on DirecTV if you have that, 10-11 pm. The topic this week is John's murder. She has also done shows on O.J. Simpson, Jean Harris (who killed her lover Dr. Herman Tarnower), JonBenet Ramsey murder, etc. She interviews John's killer. (old interview plus I think new one)

This is a Baba Walters show? How funny that now she actually has a Beatles connection with Nancy being married to Paul.
-
Also tonight on CNN is a special The Killing of John Lennon, which focuses on John's killer. It gives him exactly what he wanted, fame. Sick b*stard. I will not be watching.
-
Baba Wawa is not very classy doing that assignment nor are any of the rest of the "journalists." I am not watching any of it.

Sorry you feel that way. They were all quite interesting. And she only did a current interview with Gloria, his killer's wife. I blame her for not alerting anyone of his plans to kill John in Oct. 1980 when he went to NY the first time but "changed his mind." He told her once he got home. She should have had him committed then!

On last night after the Barbara Walters thing was a 2-hour show about John. One huge mistake they made was showing that pic several times of John holding the hand of a little chubby blond boy and acting like it was Julian. They showed tons of other true pics of Julian as a little boy that they should have realized it wasn't him! They interviewed my friend Jim Berkenstadt who I met in 2014 (he wrote The Beatle Who Vanished--about Jimmie Nichol) http://www.bing.com/search?q=the+beatle+who+vanished&form=PRHPCS&pc=HPDTDFJS&mkt=en-us&refig=07e1625fb31e4bb28dd4d75ac5b92169&ghc=1&qs=AS&pq=the+beatle+who+&sc=8-15&sp=1&cvid=07e1625fb31e4bb28dd4d75ac5b92169 http://www.thebeatlewhovanished.com/

I wonder how Paul feels about his wife's relatives making money off of Johns death? That was my point. No offense to anyone posting. I can see with my own eyes there were many "John's." A person cannot change their appearence so much, so many times. We have all been programmed to believe everything we see and hear.

Did the wife know that Chapman owned a gun?

Barbara asked her about that and she said Yes! He packed the damn thing in his checked bag both times he flew to NY.

i watched a little of CNN special about John's death. it was Ok, they focused a lot on recordings of his killer and when those segments started, I'd turn the channel (i've heard his account before, not interested in listening to him) but the interviews with the people who were with John on his last day, those were interesting. I also think it's a sad that his wife didn't do something when he admitted to wanting to kill John (even though he claimed he was seeking therapy) and it's so sad that he actually shook little Sean's hand, then later that night kills his father.
-
Then why wouldn't she be arrested as an accessory?
-
Could we please stop talking about this a@@hole now?!

CNN goes out of their way to make murderers famous. Every time there's a shooting or bombing, they fill the screen with pictures of the killers.

Maybe she should have been.

What!!? I don't pay attention into any info about this jerk of all jerks I try not to give this horrificly negative person any attention. I wish there was a law banning all naming of all of these people who are looking for attention in history... Instead they be assigned a generic name, when referred to in the media. Especially in the U.S. where there are so many murders. Jerk of all Jerks would be pretty appropriate. In interviews, that's what we would call him!! Very appropriate and maybe would deter others looking for infamy in history... I cannot believe she (his wife) didn't alert anyone on what he was up to!! Now I'm really angry!! She should have been tried as an accomplice! Especially when he went back?!

Just call all of these murderers "Dick". It's anonymous and is automatically censored on some websites.

The wife may have been suffering from a domestic dependency syndrome, or may have been threatened by **** I read about George's assault in 1999 the other night. The story I had originally heard on the news was light compared to the devastation court filings. That attack was also horrible.
