Funny AHDN Movie Alternate Cast

On Turner Classic Movies facebook site, a thread requested substitutes to the real lead casting on various noteworthy films. I suggested The Dave Clark Five for "A Hard Day's Night," LOL. Sure would have been a bland musical with far less striking songs, and Dave Clark Five band members don't really stand out with highly individual striking and different personalities and looks. The lead singer is handsome. But still lacks that certain Beatles-type sparkle and spark, IMO. Perhaps I'm being mean, and underestimating their musical prowess and charm?

Didn't they do their own movie right after A Hard Day's Night? I think it was directed by John Boorman or John Badham.
