2018 Tours?

There is a brand new stadium/venue -called U Arena - in the north of Paris which was inaugurated in October 2017 with 3 Rolling Stones gigs. Roger Waters will perform there in 10 days. The venue can welcome 40000 persons.
The president of the Rugby team which plays in the stadium has just announced during a press conference that Paul McCartney will do a gig at the end of this year.
I would like to believe that he is right.

I guess that Paul's team is in negotiations with several countries (as usual) and waiting for the appropriate time to announce those hows. Perhaps at the same time as the announcement for the new album?

The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival is returning to Las Vegas on September 21st and 22nd, and this year's absolutely EPIC lineup of superstars has finally been revealed. The star-studded lineup will no doubt make music history, once again, with unforgettable performances
Taking the stage at T-Mobile Arena this year are Justin Timberlake, Jack White, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Imagine Dragons, Jason Aldean, Sam Smith, Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Panic! At The Disco, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, Kygo, Rae Sremmurd, Logic and more, and it's all hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
If I remember correctly isn't this the festival where "NEW" made it's debut? Looks like the rumored album won't premiere there this time.

Why will the new album not premiere at ths time? Have you heard any update about the release?

Because he's not on the list to play there.

Thanks Nancy. This site used to be so easy to navigate, I'm having such a hard time now.

I know, it took most of us a while to get used to it! Just remember the title of this thread and the forum it is in, so you can find it again. The spyglass (upper right, next to the envelope) works pretty good to search for a thread if you know which forum it probably is in.

So Paul has wiped his Instagram account and deleted the banner pix on his Facebook page and Twitter accounts...similar to what Taylor Swift did before her new album came out. That plus all the galavanting around Liverpool with James Corden (for his show I am sure) makes me think the album announcement is coming, and the tour announcement will be soon too.

He will be out there this year although details are scarce right row. Looks to be gearing up Septemberish

He made his banner pic on FB WHITE, as in The White Album! Maybe a special 50th Anniversary archive release?

Hey JudeI wonder what the name of the new song he did is? The only lyrics I could catch was “If I come on to you, will you come on to me.”

Good thought, but now there is a little black and white drawing up on Instagram and Twitter.

Was able to catch most of the lyrics, and typed them up. Someone else may have picked up the words differently
PAUL'S NEWEST SONG - June 9, 2018
I saw you flash a smile, it seemed to me to say
You wanted so much more than casual conversation.
I said I'd call you up before you turned away
I couldn't see the point resisting new temptation
If you come on to me, will I come on to you
If you come on to me, will I come on to you
doo doo doo doo doo doo...
If only I can wait, I've got some work to do
How soon can we arrange a formal introduction
We need to find a place where we can be at home (alone?)
To spend some special time without an interruption.
If you come on to me, will I come on to you
If you come on to me, will I come on to you
doo doo doo doo doo doo...
Before you grab your coat I'll try and be discreet
You know we can't be seen exchanging information.

I love those lyrics, from a nearly 76 year old man! Paul has still got it!

So, we know that Paul may start his tour in September.
In October we know that he'll be playing Austin City Limits Festival both weekends.
Rumors so far:
South America: Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil. Rumored for October. Negotiations became harder with Argentina and Brasil because of the state of economy
France: Paris,"The president of the Rugby team which plays in the stadium has just announced during a press conference that Paul McCartney will do a gig at the end of this year". Posted by french let it be
Hope you can hint for some direction because the posibilities are too many
