This years show was terrible.
They seem to be getting worse each year, as they try and make them "youthful." Coldplay are NOT a stadium act. You are better off having KISS perform!
I'd be happy with that!.... Superbowl Rockshow!.... But let's face it, Coldplay (not my cup of tea, but undeniably a talented band) should never have been chosen..... way too timid... and perhaps "mild" for that kind of forum... poor choice from the marketers... their fault.... and how many more times will Beyonce get away with that outfit?.... I mean, she is beautiful and hot, but she was looking a little like a hoe in that gear. Thighs = size when you're opening yourself to that tight (and ridiculous) "fashion statement"..... but... Go Broncos!

I agree 100%. I like Coldplay but I was really surprised they were picked for Super Bowl 50.

lol, still better than 28th

Most Superbowl half-time shows are blatant Satanic rituals with spectacular visuals of symbolism (as are the Grammys, as well), so I'm actually shocked that Macca ranked as high as he did.

Superbowl performers are in a very exclusive "club." Not just anyone gets to play there. I'll just leave it at that.

Exactly. The NFL is very concerned about image and getting ratings so like you said it is not just anyone who can perform in the halftime show.

What does everyone think about all the brouhaha with Beyoncé's halftime show and the police (some) saying they won't "serve and protect" at her Miami concert?

It's a hot-button issue; therefore opinions will vary, but I think it's hilarious that absolutely NOBODY showed up that anti-Beyonce event that the NYPD organized the other day.
-
Since this guy named John Lennon said all kinds of crazy things in the 60s and 70s, I think most thinking people know how to keep a perspective when a pop star makes any controversial comments these days. If not, Kanye West would be Time's person of the year!
-
The difference between John Lennon and Kanye West couldn't be any clearer. With the exception of Kanye West's controversial comment about George W. Bush during that Hurricane Katrina telethon back in 2005 (which I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agreed with), everything else -- from the Taylor Swift awards-show shenanigans to his self-glorifying claims of artistic brilliance -- is all publicity b.s. that the corporate media cover ad nauseum... ...because the masses are STILL too stupid to recognize media hype when they see it.
-
Kanye has really gone off the deep end. Even his Kardashian mother in law said on tv that they have to rein him in or he may damage the Kardashian name.

Hilarious? It was stupid. They (the police) can have their say but to think anyone would stand out there & protest... that is ludicrous.

That's pretty much my point, people have learned to discern nonsense from something of substance. Beyoncé was making a political statement, and negative reactions have been somewhat blown out of proportion, IMO.

I have absolutely no opinion about it. Mostly because I haven't heard anything about it. Maybe I'll google it later.

What could he possibly do to damage their name?

Lol, good point. It is amazing how famous and rich they have become with absolutely no talent.

And that "fame" began in 1994 with Robert Kardashian being O.J. Simpson's best friend! The look on his face when O.J. was acquitted was priceless!
