Beatles Live in Germany?
-
I found an item online, a CD called "Beatles Live in Germany".... it's clearly a bootleg, I know that much, but can it even be an actual recording of a concert? As I understand it, for the second half of their career, the Beatles didn't tour and were busy making songs far too difficult to play live anyway. This CD has them playing songs like Hey Jude, Give peace a Chance, Revolution, SFF, Rain, Lady Madonna... something doesn't seem right. Can someone confirm to me that there was no such concert?

There was no such concert. The Beatles last visited Germany in 1966 or so. Perhaps it is a Paul Mccartney bootleg, the titles you mentioned are or have been on his set-list.

Even Rain? Either way, I suspected that might have been the case. Rain might just be a live Harrison recording thrown in.

Ah, sorry, the Rain-mention I did not see. I am not aware of Paul performing that one, indeed. Perhaps: Too Much Rain or Driving Rain?

The only "Live In Germany" are the recordings at the Star Club in Hamburg (1962) I have about 3 different copies (in vinyl) released by different record companies.

Here's the Beatles live in Munich in 1966:

Sounds like just a title. Neither The Beatles or Paul ever played Rain or Revolution live.
