Did anyone getting tickets for Orlando get them directly from the Ticketmaster site? I had the worst experience with them this time. I was able to score 2 seats for Sunday night in what was SUPPPOSED to be 12 rows from the stage. Later when I went back in to see if anything would pop up for Saturday night, they changed the whole seating chart!!! So, instead of being 12 rows from the stage, I found myself 12 rows with 2 sections in front of me from the stage! I know what I bought and I know they changed it, but am I the ONLY one that had this experience? They had the stage on the left, but moved it to the right and placed the mixer where the stage was.... That's MESSED UP!!!! And from what I could see, they sold out all of Sat night with that wrong layout... ????? WTF????

I've been closely following Orlando since the first moment that show #1 was announced and appeared on Ticketmaster. As far as I know, the seating chart has been exactly the very same since Day 1. I honestly don't think Ticketmaster changed it after the fact. It's an "endstage" layout, with the stage located at the end, between sections 117 and 103. With section F1 on the front floor running the full width of the stage... followed by F2-F3-F4 in the next level back, mid-floor... and F5-F6-F7 in the back floor. At no point did I ever see a chart with the stage placed at the opposite end of the arena. Right from the very first pre-sale, i deliberately seeked out seats located in either 116 or 104, because those would be the closest 'full view' lowers to the stage. (And I bought sec. 116.) This is pretty much the standard layout for all concerts at Amway Center... so, I'm not sure exactly what you were looking at. (If you go to the event on Ticketmaster.com, under seating charts, you will see pull down menus for both "Endstage" and "Paul McCartney". But the only major difference between the two charts, is that the "Paul McCartney" chart has the little platform stage sticking out in the middle. But other than that, it's really the same typical Endstage layout used at most Amway Center concerts.)

I fly out to Orlando tomorrow morning Very excited now. Just got to figure out when I will have time to get to the Amway to collect my tickets.
-
If anyone still needs tickets, Ticketmaster is dropping GREAT seats for the 5/19 show right NOW. Pulling seats on the floor, only 7 and 8 rows from the stage.... (F4, rows G and H, etc). (I believe F2-F3-F4, all start with row F..... carried over from rows A-E in sec. F1. The 'Bruno Mars' concert at Amway has an Interactive Seating Chart on TM, that you can use to locate the seats.) I think these might be unsold VIP packages that they finally went ahead, and turned them into 'regular' tickets. Go get 'em!

Would anyone be interested in doing a boardie meetup at Amway? My brother went to see Rush there last week & it seems like they have neat refreshments (they had a "Limelight" margarita). Not that we have to have adult beverages. Anyway, message me here or private message me if you're interested!
Yes yes ME!

Yay MaccaGirl! So that's me, you, kathy64 & MarkInSouthJersey (& I've got my mom with me too). I haven't been to the new Amway Center. Do you know of any good places in there to meet up? I'm thinking a food/beverage place.

They have several full bars/restaurants in the arena. http://www.amwaycenter.com/plan-your-visit/restaurants-bars

Of the places to eat, Magic Grill looks to be the one in my price range. Any of the other lounges should be fine, though one of the places requires "stylish dress." Don't know what they mean by that. Oh and forget64 is in too! Sorry I didn't see your response in the other forum!

Sounds like a plan! Post soundcheck I will definitely be there.

I would avoid all of the eating venues in the Amway Center and head downtown and have a great meal at half the price. I am a local and the only thing I eat at the Amway in Cold Stone Creamery.

Unfortunately if there are those of us such as myself who are attending soundcheck prior, we are kind of stuck. I myself find it a safer alternative to just stay at the venue.

Depending on what time the meetup is, if you are attending soundcheck, you probably won't be able to be there, even if the meetup is inside the Amway. Even tho soundcheckers are requested to arrive at around 3 pm, Paul rarely shows up before 5 pm, and before he comes, attendees must stay with the group and are not allowed to leave the venue or wander around. After soundcheck is over, everyone gets led to the preshow reception, which is usually held at some private room or dining area. I suppose you can skip this if you really wanted to, and ask them to let you leave, but it's already been paid for as part of your package.

The Magic Grill also seems to me to be a logical place to gather, I have eaten in their "classy" restaurant and was not impressed, but thats when I worked for Disney and you really had to make me happy, but its pricey and i know my hubby will probably be in shorts and flip flops!!! They open at 4pm I think, we are just driving over so I got a ticket for parking at the Center. It only takes about an hour 45 mins for the ride from Seminole to Orlando, on a Sunday. I'm going to call and find out how soon we can park before the concert. Church Street is also there and has alot of places to eat. Lets figure it out and plan a time its getting down to the wire!!!!!!!

Well I suppose we will see how it goes. I'm still hoping to meet up beforehand but if not I will see how things go.

I'd rather be going to that soundcheck and reception!!!!

Yea, it's probably better/cheaper to go somewhere that's not in Amway, but at our last Paul concert, my mom and I didn't get to our seats until the second song. Definitely want to make sure that doesn't happen again. And MaccaGirl, don't worry! We'll play it by ear and we will live vicariously through your soundcheck experience

How about 5? Early but not too early?

Thats about wht time we were planning on getting there around 5, does that work for everybody that can make it? Since the Magic grill is at the Center, even if we don't grace them with our presence, it can be a meeting up place
