Finding "The Beatles LOVE: Special Edition" in the

I am A Civil Member. And I Honestly Tried to find the existing thread for this album release. The Search feature returns more than 100+ pages. So please forgive me "for line jumping". I ordered "the Special Edition" ($17.99) online from amazon, and exactly because it includes a DVD-Audio disc with both a 5.1 surround mix and a 2-channel stereo DVD audio mix. Surround releases are rare for a Beatle. And I have a DVD Audio player. I will let you know when it arrives whether the DVD Audio plays through my generic DVD Movie player as well. This "The Beatles: LOVE: (CD + DVD AUDIO) Special Edition" began its journey in Chester, Virginia: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Chester,+VA+23836/@37.3593226,-77.42871,18874m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x89b10650b5d84eed:0x50a0b9bec0caf863 The parcel is currently held up somewhere in Hebron, Ky, along the way to it's final destination in Los Angeles, Ca: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.064185,-84.7004115,4609m/data=!3m1!1e3

The 5:1 surround mix is great. It's the way it would sound if you were in the LOVE Theater in Las Vegas. Yes, the DVD audio will play on your DVD player. If you have the 5:1 surround set-up in your home, you'll be blown away!

I agree it sounds fantastic. And I would love to hear all the albums mixed in 5.1.

I'd be willing to bet we have not seen or heard the last of the Beatles remastered, and that surround-sound remixes will be eventually released for at least some of the catalog. I'm also hoping there will be some official Live releases, with Ron Howard's documentary film on the way soon.

Got it in the mail today! It is Wonderful! I sang my harmonies to "Yesterday". Da-da-da
One comment though. In several of the tracks (A Day in the Life), the original stereo positioning is jettisoned in favor of a front center vocal. Now I know it by heart that, in the original stereo SGT. Pepper mix, the lead vocal pans across while reading the news, the book, and counting the holes. This is not a gripe, and the difference in the sound positioning in LOVE is understood to preserve clarity in the live LOVE SHOW performance theater. That said, I will be disappointed if and when a SGT. Pepper surround mix is finally released, If it does not preserve the original positioning and context, while expanding to the surround sound field.
